Turns out, the har...

It’s basically an 80s arcade game, a corpora...

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III proves that after saving New York twice, the next logical career move was accidental time travel to feudal Japan. Armed with swords, pizza cravings, and a magical scepter that runs on pure plot convenience. It's a movie that earnestly asks you to believe four talking turtles fit into 16th-century Japan better than they ever fit into 1990s New York. This is the Over...

In the end, Ace saves the day through a combination of dum...

Arnold Schwarzenegger swaps his “I’ll be back” villain routine for a deadpan robot dad...

After taking career advice from a sunglasses-wearing cyber-guru and a crew dressed like they robbed a vinyl trench coat store, Neo learns reality can be defeated with enough slow-motion flips and dramatic staring. The Matrix somehow turned “What if...

Beavis and Butt-Head Do America follows America’s least employable teenagers on a cross-country odyssey after their TV gets stolen, which somehow spirals into a federal manhunt. Beavis and Butt-Head bumble through casinos, deserts, and government agencies completely oblivious to the chaos they’re causing, pausing only to laugh at anything remotely shaped like a butt. It’s a patriotic reminder that...

Enemy Mine is what happens when space racism crashes headfirst into a survival story and realizes it has to share a cave. A human pilot and his alien enemy go from “I will absolutely kill you” to “fine, I guess we’re raising a baby together” faster than you can say “hostile work environment.” The movie spends a surprising amount of time proving that even across galaxies, parenting is exhausting an...

In Sidekicks, an asthmatic kid named Barry survives middle school by imagining he’s best friends with Chuck Norris—which is honestly a better coping mechanism than therapy. A kindly karate teacher (played by Mako) tries to turn those...

Two California surfer bros discover they’re actually long-lost princes destined to liberate a tropical island, which is exactly as responsible as it sounds. Blade follows a half-vampire, half-human daywalker who hunts bloodsuckers while looking perpetually annoyed about it. As vampires plot to unleash an ancient blood god, Blade slices through nightclubs, warehouses, and anyone dumb enough to monologue at him. The movie mixes comic-book lore, leather coats, and industrial techno into a very late-’90s vibe cocktail. This is the Overdue Homework Podcast...

Clark Griswold once again proves that the true spirit of Christmas is blind optimism mixed with catastrophic home-owner negligence. As his house becomes a magnet for electrical fires, feral squirrels, and uninvited relatives, Clark clings to the dream of a “fun old-fashioned family Christmas” like a man who’s never met his own family. By the time the SWAT team crashes through the windows, the only...
