I recently bottom out on my current body of work… I’ve been thinking a lot recently about why we make work in the first place. Not professionally. Personally. Because I think a lot of people arrive at creativity through very different routes.

This episode is about Instagram. Because whether we like it or not, Instagram has become deeply tied into contemporary creative practice. And honestly, it comes up in every conversation I have with artists. People feeling invisible. Not being seen. Watching engagement collapse. Feeling pressure to constantly perform. And I think a lot of artists are quietly exhausted by it.

This episode is about rejection. Not just open call rejection, but rejection generally inside creative practice. Because if you make work long enough, rejection becomes unavoidable. And I think artists probably talk about it less honestly than they should.
