The Comma Project

Earlier this year, I was invited to present at the February investor meeting of Baylor University's angel investor network. My goal? To de-mystify crypto. To share why I believe in it, and the version of the future it can help create. To share why I chose to go all in and start a crypto fund. To share why you should care as well. This is my best attempt at de-mystifying crypto, why it matters,...

After months of searching, I finally found 'The Dream of Solomeo' by Brunello Cucinelli...for $500. But I simply had to read it. I loved it so much that as soon as I finished it, I booked a round-trip ticket to Italy to go see Solomeo - the home of the company, and the man who built it. Here, I share what I loved, what I learned, and what stood out most. Welcome back to the second edition...

What if we built worlds instead of just offices? I went to Solomeo, the hamlet re-built by Brunello Cucinelli, where a true home has been built for his Life's Work. I left inspired. I think you will be, too. "A world is a home for a Life's Work...A world is a collection of spaces for all parts of life." ----------- Newsletter: https://www.comma.org/ YouTube: ...

An extraordinary life requires a non-ordinary path. "At your birth a seed is planted. That seed is your uniqueness. It wants to grow, transform itself, and flower to its full potential. It has a natural, assertive energy to it. Your Life’s Task is to bring that seed to flower, to express your uniqueness through your work." -- Robert Greene in ' Mastery' Leading with our uniquenes...

Earlier this week, I wrote about buying a farm ⬇️ https://www.comma.org/p/maybe-ill-buy-a-farm In this episode, I explore more about how this fits into my vision for Comma, and how it's about more than just buying a farm. It's about inspiration and integration, not imposition. Specifically, I talk about how a Comma fellowship may just be the heart of the vision. I envision a place inviting...

I had an idea - and it won't leave me alone. I've been thinking about buying a farm. Not just to own a farm, but to build out the world of Comma. I realized that I often confuse the medium for the message - and I don't think I'm alone in doing so. I said the other week that I'm obsessed with podcasts. That's not completely true. Podcasts aren’t what I’m obsessed with. I’m obsessed with what podcasts facilitate. Podcasts aren't the point. The story, humanity, connection, and sense of aliveness that live underneath - that’...

I started a podcast. It's just the beginning, but it simply feels like the next right thing. I'm going deeper and building out the world of The Comma Project - and this is the next step. ----------- Newsletter: https://www.comma.org/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@thecommaproject/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/devbakes/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/devbakes/ ----------- Chapters:...

I was a camp counselor at a 4-day leadership camp for high schoolers, and I think I learned more from them than they did from me. They showed me what it really means to "lean in" to life, and how being 15 years older in that environment gave me a perspective that freed me up a bit from my own fears today. ----------- Newsletter: https://www.comma.org/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/...

The process of seeking and becoming is a wandering one - like skiing. Part of this process for me is re-learning what I’ve already learned. If we live as lifelong learners, then learning, forgetting, and re-learning isn't a sign of insufficiency or weakness. If we live as lifelong learners, then every moment (including the ones where it seems like we take steps backward) contributes to who and...

What is The Comma Project? Why am I doing it?
