Loose Threads
Loose Threads
Loose Threads is a podcast about the questions worth pulling on. Each episode, Chris and Nick work through an idea, an argument, or a question that doesn't have a clean answer. They disagree, push back, concede, and rarely resolve. Conversations are short, honest, and meant to keep going in your head after the episode ends. Topics range from late-night thoughts to founder questions to philosophical disagreements that have outlived their original arguments. If you like conversations that take the long way around to get somewhere true, this one's for you.

Why Are We So Afraid Of Being Boring? 08.07.2026 7:20
You said "yeah, good" when someone asked about your week. You don't remember the week. You've told four people you watch a show you gave up on after two episodes. There's a trip you've been planning for a year. There is no plan. Chris and Nick audit the small performances, the modulated answers, the borrowed opinions, the evidence we build so that when we ask ourselves th...
Do You Actually Like Your Friends? 27.06.2026 8:11
There are people in your life you wouldn't pick if you met them today. You see them anyway. Chris and Nick take on the audit honestly, and then the word "draining" that does so much work to justify it. Halfway through, the question turns. If you can quietly let someone go, who's quietly letting you go Episode 3. About the difference between a friendship ending and a choice nobody...
If Your Dad Stopped Watching 23.06.2026 12:56
If you stripped away everything your father ever wanted for you, the standards, the disappointments, the bar he kept moving, would there be anything underneath that you'd still call ambition? Or would you find a quiet person you've never met? Nick is twenty-two and can't answer that question. Chris is forty and thought he could, until Nick caught him bluffing. They talk about the wall...
Should You Trust Your 3 A.M. Thoughts? 20.06.2026 6:41
Why do the thoughts that show up at 3 a.m. feel more honest than the ones you have during the day? And should you actually trust them? Chris says yes, mostly. The late-night mind drops the daytime performance and surfaces what you've been avoiding. Nick says no. The brain at 3 a.m. is sleep-deprived, cortisol-flooded, and bad at telling the difference between a real problem and a misfire. They...
