If you could ensure the spiritual salvation of one person this coming year, who would it be? This passage provides a beautiful prayer filled with hope for those whose hearts are yet to open to the saving grace of God. Listen in!

Praise comes natural for human beings.  Whether it is in relation to a favorite restaurant, a speedy car, or a trendy new gadget, people do praise well!  Ephesians 1:3-14 speak of the praise Heavenly Father is worthy of in drawing people into relationship with Him.  May the message be heard loud and clear: you are chosen!

This message is the introduction to the book of Ephesians, a study over the next 11-12 weeks. Culture slides towards moral and spiritual depravity as you have likely noticed. Faith in Jesus often leads to living countercultural. This calling is true in the present age as it was true for believers living in Ephesus at the time of Ephesians original writing.

Where is Kingwood going this coming year? What will the focus be as we seek to declare and demonstrate the gospel of Jesus? This message shares the focus of Kingwood Bible Church for 2020!

This final message from this Christmas series recounts the visit of the Magi to little Jesus. Who were these guys? What were the current events taking place around the time of their visit? What are the implications for us today? Listen in!

Devotional reflections were shared on words uttered by Zechariah found in Luke 1:67-79.  His words bring to mind two patriarchal figures from the past, centering on God’s work in his life through John the Baptist and ultimately Jesus.

This fourth week of advent focuses on the state of being awestruck.  In wisdom, God chose to announce the birth of a Savior first to a group of shepherds.  Shepherds, who were often seen as societal outcasts, were filled with awe at the coming of Jesus!  We too are invited to experience the awe of Jesus’ coming to our world.

Have you made plans only to find the plans change? Joseph had plans regarding his marriage to Mary. Those plans suddenly changed when he discovered she was pregnant. Likewise, his plans of divorcing her quickly changed when an angel appeared in a dream. Joseph responded with openness. His openness lead him to apply what he knew he was to do.

This second week of advent focuses on Being Ready .  The narrative of Mary is one of being willing to accept what God wants to do in our life.  We look at how she surrendered her life to God's will.  God is calling us to be ready too. Listen in!

Dave Jongeward, Dean of Spiritual Formation at Colorado Christian University speaks about the command of Jesus to make disciples. If Jesus calls believers to be His witnesses (Acts 1:8), why do many feel as though they are the attorney? Being a witness means providing the evidence as the attorney directs. Who is the attorney and what is the evidence provided? Listen in!

Do you get uncomfortable when the Great Commission is read? Do you feel as though you are somehow not doing your part to obey the words of Jesus by “going”? This message examines what Jesus had in mind when He gave these words (Matthew 28:16-20). It’s a message for everyone, missionary or not!

When you encounter difficulty, do you run away from or towards God?  The Sons of Korah remind us that God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1).  Rather than running away from God when hardship comes, learn to hide in God.  He is our refuge!

It likely seems un-American…it certainly is not natural…but the words conveyed in 2 Corinthians 12:1-10 is the truth just the same.  Recognizing weakness is a sign of strength and something Paul went so far as to boast in!  Listen in!

Who or what do you turn to find strength? This message suggests five possibilities, but then examines God’s word to Israel through the prophet Isaiah regarding strength. These words ring true for believes today!

Listen to one of our elders share about even when we feel insignificant, or alone that we can be confident that God cares for us deeply.  It is a call to put our confidence in our Creator and for us to run to him as our refuge in difficult times.  His love extends to us in every situation.

Do you recognize you are here, right now, for a particular purpose? If you do, it does not mean God will never direct you elsewhere, but it does bring a greater sense of intention to your existence. This is true even when you feel you are surrounded by many who oppose your value system. Mordecai reminded Esther that God is intentional, placing her right where she needed to be.

Sometimes in life you may feel as though things go from bad to worse. This certainly was the case for Esther and Mordecai. Due to an unwillingness on the part of Mordecai to bow down to Haman, King Xerxes was influenced to annihilate the entire race of Mordecai’s people. This message the introduction to the book of Esther. It sets the stage for the events that take place, looking at some of the major characters involved. The overarching theme of God's providence in the book of Esther is shared, although not evident within the first chapter and a half. When we don't see God's providence, can we trust He is setting the stage for a mighty display of His power?

This is a stand-alone message examining forgiveness. Prior to the message, Kingwood gathered to observe communion. In light of the forgiveness we have received from the cross of Christ, does it not make sense that we would be the very ones who extend forgiveness to others?

What word comes to mind when you hear the word church? For most, the first (and perhaps only) thing that comes to mind is a building. However, church is people – all those who have placed their faith in Jesus. This puts people in relationship to church and being part of church is a privilege we ought not take for granted!

Friendship is something people often feels others have mastered but believe they have not. If you are one of those people, you’re not alone. This message examines the gift of friendship, emphasizing God’s perspective. Listen in!
