Here's Horror
Here's Horror is hosted by friends of over 12 years, Moth (they/them) and Tay (she/they). They have tons in common, except for one key thing: their feelings about scary movies. Moth is a life-long horror junkie who has yet to find a film that truly scares them. Tay is a self proclaimed scaredy-cat who has avoided horror like the plague. But now, everything changes. Ready to dip your toe into the pool of spooky possibilities? Join us and learn something new about your favorite scary movies... or maybe laugh at a horror virgin experiencing real fear for the first time. Think you can handle it?

Episode 48: It (2017) 08.05.2024 1:16:38
We’re kicking off the warm season with another excellent Stephen King adaptation: It (2017)! This film is an incredible blend of some intense scares with some of the best comedic relief we’ve seen so far on this podcast, while managing to still be true horror rather than a horror-comedy. The filmmakers and the actors really nailed the vibe, and we enjoyed this one so much that we truly cannot wait...
Episode 47: The Babadook (2014) 24.04.2024 57:23
It’s not Pride Month yet but in this house, we celebrate gay icons year round. This week we did just that by watching Australian horror film The Babadook (2014). This film navigates so many issues that are not talked about often enough in modern society, such as grief, the hard and sometimes ugly parts of motherhood, single parenthood, and more. This movie is very highly regarded in recent horror...
Episode 46: Fear Street Part One: 1994 (2021) 12.04.2024 1:08:56
A slasher series with undead murderers, a neon 90s aesthetic, that’s based on R. L. Stine books? Say no more, we’re on board and you should be too! This film pays homage to a lot of everyone’s favorite horror media, from 90s slashers to Stephen King, while still keeping things fresh and fun. We had a ton of fun watching this one, and can’t wait to jump into the other two parts of the series! Spend...
Episode 45: Fresh (2022) 28.03.2024 1:08:08
Dating in recent years is actually a nightmare, and with Fresh (2022), filmmakers capture one of the actual worst case scenarios. This film is a wild ride, with its start looking a whole lot like an excellent rom-com in the making until there’s a SHARP left turn somewhere along the way and you’re left wondering who will make it out all in one piece. Join us as we discuss a film about some depraved...
Episode 44: Creep (2014) 13.03.2024 56:02
We realized it’s been a minute since we’ve gotten into a good found footage horror, so this week we watched Creep (2014)! This movie (along with its sequel) has gained quite a cult following since its release, and for good reason. Creep (2014) is a deeply strange, and to some (including us) a deeply disturbing film, and we had a wild time watching it. The filmmakers definitely proved that you don’...

Y’all want a ghost movie with some heavy doses of religious trauma? Because that’s what you’re getting this week with The Others (2001)! This film was written, directed, and had it’s score composed by the same person (Alejandro Amenabar), and we’re pretty sure he’s a genius. He made choices with this film that very few (if any) filmmakers made before he created The Others, and that in itself is an...
