GRINDIT podcast
Let's face it...life sometimes is hard and can just suck. When we are faced with life's challenges we can be discouraged, get tired, and become weary. What we need is motivation, encouragement, and a helping hand that keeps us going. That's the idea of GRINDIT! We find our strength to endure when we focus on Jesus. God's own Son wasn't exempt from life's challenges and He didn't do anything to deserve what he went through! And yet He did...willingly, therefore we find our hope in Him.

Episode 604: 2 Corinthians 1 Part 2 Timothy...Timid Yet Brave 29.10.2026 33:09
Paul mentions Timothy in the first verse of 2 Corinthians meaning he was helping Paul write this letter, probably because Paul had bad eyesight and his letters are very large and perhaps hard to read. We learned from 1 Corinthians that Timothy would be sent to Corinth to help guide them through some troublesome times within the congregation. They have many issues and Paul tells them to welcome Tim...
Episode 603: 2 Corinthians 1 Part 1 A Hug Using A Pen 26.10.2026 29:22
When Paul writes a letter to one of the churches in the New Testament, he starts with a greeting and ends with a greeting. The greeting at the start of these letters all seem to have a familiar pattern. He starts with his name, Paul, so the people know he is giving the commentary, the beefy parts of the body of the letter, then he will mention the one who is helping him write the letter. Paul will...
Episode 602: 1 Corinthians 16 Part 4 Show Your Appreciation 22.10.2026 43:12
How often do we tell those who serve in the church how much we appreciate them? Paul goes out of his way at the end of chapter 16 to point out three men that are from the church at Corinth who work very hard in the kingdom of God. Stephanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus have come from Corinth to help Paul with the work God is doing at Ephesus. Paul writes the church in Corinth telling them, “They have...
Episode 601: 1 Corinthians 16 Part 3 God Is Already There Working 20.10.2026 44:04
How did Paul know where to go when he was traveling around sharing Jesus? Did he just pick places and go? Did he get direction from the Holy Spirit? Did Jesus tell him where to go? They only thing we know is where Paul got a vision where a guy says, “Come over here and help us!” and he immediately goes to Macedonia. But Macedonia is a huge region, not a particular city so then, why does Paul go to...

In the beginning of chapter 16, Paul is going to answer a question from the church at Corinth about them having to take up a collection of money for the church in Jerusalem. There was a famine going on over all the Roman ruled areas, some places being worse than others. It was very severe in Jerusalem and the once rich and blessed church that started it all in Acts 2, finds itself struggling with...

Episode 598: 1 Corinthians 15 Part 6 There Is A Resurrection...So Now What? 08.10.2026 50:58
Jesus is alive, he sits at the Father’s right hand, and some day, he is coming for his bride! When this takes place, we will be changed in a twinkling of an eye, and we will bear his image! Are you ready? If not, then you will spend eternity separated from God without any possibility of being reconciled to Him!
Episode 597: 1 Corinthians 15 Part 5 If There Is No Resurrection... 06.10.2026 48:52
Paul has brought the church at Corinth to the utmost importance to unify them, the gospel. The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. Many died on a cross, but only one came back from the dead, never to die again, and that is Jesus. Paul tells them if Jesus did not come out of that grave alive, then we do not have any hope and we are still in our sin, separated from God! He tells...

We are taking a deep dive into 1 Corinthians 15:1 and 2 to see what Paul says about the gospel of Jesus and how it changes our lives. What we are seeing with some of the Corinthians is that the gospel hasn’t really made a difference in their lives and they continue to live in sin. Episode 594: 1 Corinthians 15 Part 2 The Gospel Humbles 25.09.2026 40:27
If anyone had a right to boast about his credentials, it is Paul. He was climbing up the ladder of success as a Pharisee and was in a very powerful position until he wasn’t. He was on the road to Damascus to persecute more believers when Jesus appeared out of nowhere and changed his entire life, his way of thinking, and his direction! Though Paul says he had a clear conscience, he never forgot who...
Episode 593: 1 Corinthians 15 Part 1 I Want to Be Recognized! 22.09.2026 32:19
In the church at Corinth, there were some people who thought they were “super” spiritual, that they had better gifts than others, they had a higher status than others, they had more wisdom and superior knowledge than others, therefore they were abusing the gifts given to them by God. What they were doing was causing chaos in the church and Paul is giving them direction about how to use the spiritu...
Episode 592: 1 Corinthians 14 Part 6 Zip Your Lip Woman?!?! (Extended) 17.09.2026 46:13
We left the last podcast with unfinished discussion. We had to rush thought the end of the chapter where Paul tells the women in the church at Corinth to be silent. We take a deep dive into the church at Corinth looking at Acts 18 when the church began and who...

Episode 590: 1 Corinthians 14 Part 4 Women Keep Silent Revisited 10.09.2026 51:49
I’m not sure how many times we have talked about this subject since we have covered Paul’s writings but here we are again! I wasn’t there and I do not claim to have all the answers but if Paul means for a woman to be completely silent in churches, then why does he tell them to pray with their heads covered back in chapter 11? Would he not tell them not pray at all, or at least until they leave the...
Episode 589: 1 Corinthians 14 Part 3 I Don't Get It 08.09.2026 48:43
Paul encourages the believers at Corinth to prophecy instead of speak in tongues, a foreign concept to our charismatic churches today who often push speaking in tongues on believers. Paul tells the church at Corinth it is better for them to prophecy because they speak in a language that everyone understands and the entire congregation is built up instead of speaking in tongues and only the one spe...
Episode 588: 1 Corinthians 14 Part 2 The Lifeless Instrument 03.09.2026 39:10
Paul mentions some musical instruments when he is talking about speaking in tongues and prophesying to the church at Corinth. This church is seeking spiritual gifts with such passion but they have left out love, in particular, Agape love, or unconditional love. They are more concerned about the spiritual gift they have and whose is better! Paul is making a point that, when one speaks in tongues, t...

Paul just spent some time telling the church at Corinth, who pursues spiritual gifts with passion, telling them there is a more excellent way and that way is love. Not just any love, but Agape love, or love that is unconditional. This is something they struggled with because they are divided, full of selfish pride, arrogant, they loved to boast, and they had cliques in the church when they met tog...
Episode 586: 1 Corinthians 13 Part 6 It's Time To Grow Up 27.08.2026 40:50
Paul has a flashback to when he was child as he writes his letter to the church at Corinth. He wasn't having pleasant memories, instead he was telling this church who is full of believers who think they are so mature, so wise, and have so many gifts of the Spirit, how they are acting like children the way they are acting toward one another. They are divided, certain ones eat all the food, drink al...

Episode 582: 1 Corinthians 13 Part 2 What's Love Got To Do With It? 13.08.2026 35:30
Tina Turner sang a song in the 80s called, "What's Love Got To Do With It?" Well, Tina, Paul says Love has everything to do with it and without Love, we are nothing but a noisy cymbal being smacked out of time and rhythm! It just doesn't make any sense and it standing out alone makng a bunch of noise. But when the cymbal is hit in the rhythmn of the song, it great adds an accent and sounds wonderf...

He uses the foot, the hand, the ear, the eyes, and the nose to prove his point. What’s his point? That each body part is necessary for the body to function pr...
