Not all that glitters is gold, this is what the GOTHs learned discussing 1984's A Nightmare on Elm Street. This movie is a classic, but in our opinion, maybe moreso because of what it got going than this film itself necessarily. The effects and performances are grade A but...well, we'll talk about it. The GOTHs take on one of 2023's best and scariest, Talk to Me. The episode opens with a verbal threat from Zannie to Ash for making him and Nick watch this movie. Everyone in this movie got hooked on Hand. Don't do Hand! Not even once. Hand's bad for your health. Enjoy!

This episode was recorded in the summer of 2020 while we were still figuring out what the heck we were doing with this podcast. The audio is not up to our usual standards, but we love the ep and wanted to share a lil behind the curtains look at our beginnings, part of the classic horror origin story if you will. I'll be transparent, this is Ash writing the blurb. Is it fair to call the movie uninspired? Definitely not. Objectively they did a great job. But there's a little extra haterade because I truly could not stand this movie, I cannot...

This week the GOTH Boys take on A Haunting in Connecticut- a horror movie where the family literally has two homes and they choose to stay in the haunted one, possibly because the alcoholic patriarch lives in the non-haunted house...and aren't the real demons our own? No. It's the real actual evil demons. Every time. 

We are offically kicking off Season 2 of Get Out The House with a  monster  premiere episode covering the surprisingly chilling Annabelle comes home! Annabelle has a horde of ghosts at her disposal that she'll unleash on our unsuspecting white people and its all because a few other white people couldn't mind their own business and stay out the ghost garage, we've heard this story before! 

Happy October! The GOTH Crew is back to review the seminal cult classic Killer Klowns from Outer Space. This movie surfaced many deep complicated feelings surrounding clowns and circuses to emerge from each of us, except for Zannie. Zannie felt nothing but contempt for this film, but you'll enjoy hearing his grievances. Get some funnel cake and let's hit the broken Ferris wheel that is this film!...

1977's Suspiria is a horror classic. A dreamlike nightmare where we the viewer follow our protagonist as she goes to Germany to study at a prestigious ballet school. Unfortunately, the only partner these ballerinas have is...the Devil! That was pretty good right? I felt good about it. End of episode notes- this is a great episode, crack a potion, lean back on your broomstick and enjoy the ride.   ...

After a little time off we are BACK in a big big way- we're tackling 2009's eclectic reboot of Friday the 13th. This franchise introduced the world to undead slasher Jason Vorhees, and this reboot asks the question "how would this movie change if Jason was 6'9 with a 48" vertical and 3.8 40 yard dash?" Was this a good movie? No. But it was absolutely a blast to watch.
