This podcast is a series of audio letters to Cindy, an English-speaking friend, through whom Iranian culture, history, memory, and everyday life are introduced to listeners who may know little about Iran. Each episode explores one aspect of the Iranian world: rituals, food, music, literature, history, beliefs, suffering, joy, and the many ways Iranians have created meaning, resilience, and beauty. This is not a formal history lesson, nor a touristic introduction to Iran. It is a personal and human attempt to tell intimate, engaging stories from a culture that carries thousands of years of memory, art, grief, faith, humor, and life.
