DMTF Podcast

The Don’t Mention the Fußball Podcast - all about Hertha in English. We dabble. We. Digress. A. Lot. The aim in the project is to share our love of and sometimes frustration with Hertha BSC. With the spoken word in particular, can prove difficult for foreign nationals to keep up with the existing podcasts in German. We are making these podcasts and corresponding website in English to help keep people who do not speak German well up to date and involved with our club.

DMTF093 – See You in Three Points 12.09.2026

Joel and Jan meet up in person in Moritz’s studio in the most professional setup we ever recorded in (yes, it is a low bar). Simon joins us from Sūþseaxe to discuss the latest developments of our beloved Hertha. Things are going well at the moment and we are somehow excited to see what is […]

Rebecca, Joel, Patrick and Jan meet up in the interwebs to talk about the crazy run the men’s team is on and how our Hertha Frauen are faring in the new league. Joel gives us a TED Talk on all things Canadian politics and we answer some questions from our three (?) listeners. Due to […]

DMTF091 – Commie Jesus, Trade Wars and Planning a Parade 20.08.2026

Joel, Patrick and Jan get together for another Hertha update after the first two matchdays in the men’s second tier. They are joined by Ed, who jumped on the call rather spontaneously. Apart from the latest exploits of our teams, we also learn a lot about the Liquor Control Board of Ontario. If you like […]

DMTF090 – Like a Bad Fart 07.08.2026

A full house reconvenes to give our feelings about and ruminations on the 2026/27 season of the men’s team. Rebecca gibes her two cents on the latest Castore exploits. Ed comes in after the buzzer with a voice message. Hilarity ensues. If you like our little podcast project, any comments, reviews on iTunes, retweets would […]

DMTF089 – Where There Is Fire… 11.07.2026

Joel, Patrick and Jan try to do a post mortem on a rotting corpse and get distracted a lot in the process. What else is new? If you like our little podcast project, any comments, reviews on iTunes, retweets would be greatly appreciated. You can find us on most social media under @dmtfpodcast.

DMTF088 – The One Who Shall Not Be Named 20.06.2026

You can find us […]

DMTF085 – Max Patioed 07.05.2026

Joel and Jan get together at a secret location while Patrick joins us via the interwebs for another roundup of all things Hertha. DMTF084 – The One With the Incinerating Toilet 30.04.2026

Simon and Jan get together in front of a microphone, just like we started out in 2017. They cover the recent months since our last episode in September and digress, as usual. They manage to squeeze some hope out of the Mens’ 2025/26 campaign and promise to be back after the next home game with […]

DMTF083 – The One Where They Won 15.09.2025

After a momentous weekend of sports and other news, Joel, Patrick and Jan get together for a quick episode, trying to come to terms that the men’s team a) won a match and b) scored multiple goals from open play, a feat they had not accomplished so far this season.  If you like our little […]

DMTF082 – “WTF is going on with our club?!?” 04.09.2025

We’ve got a full house with Simon, Rebecca, Joel, Patrick, and Jan – a very lively bunch – while the men’s team feels about as dead as a dodo. Still, there are some positives (WOMEN’S TEAM!) happening at our beloved Alte Dame. Chock-full of news and packed with listener questions – get in there! Special […]

DMTF081 – The Bembel of Death (feat. Moritz) 28.08.2025

After three league games, Hertha has not yet taken home three points. We bring in Moritz, who has made our new intro and was in Darmstadt last weekend. Enjoy! If you like our little podcast project, any comments, reviews on iTunes, retweets would be greatly appreciated. You can find us on most social media under […]

DMTF080 – The Shittiness Continues 21.08.2025

joel, patrick and jan don’t really want to talk about our old lady’s “successes”, but there is hardly anything to find these days to begin with. We force ourselves to look at the past two matches and try to find any glimmer of hope with binoculars and microscopes. Enjoy! If you like our little podcast […]
