Disciple Makers Podcast with Torben Sondergaard

The cross is behind us. The Day of the Lord is ahead of us. Are we living in light of what is coming? Welcome to Lesson 16 of the Kingdom School! In this lesson, we look at a message that many churches rarely speak about anymore: the return of Jesus, the coming judgment, and the blessed hope we have in Him. Understanding that day changes how we live today. It calls us to repentance, holiness, and...

Many Christians know that spiritual warfare is real. They feel the attacks in their minds and in other areas of their lives—but are we fighting this war the way the Bible teaches? We know that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but it often feels as though it is. Should we wage spiritual war by searching for territorial spirits or confronting fallen angels? The Bible reveals where the real...

Have you ever wondered why the world is the way it is? Why is there so much deception, darkness, persecution, and spiritual confusion? Is the Bible primarily a story about heaven and hell? Or is it the story of two kingdoms at war—the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan? In this lesson, we lay an important foundation for understanding the spiritual world. Beginning in Genesis and continuing th...

When did the New Covenant actually begin? Was it at Jesus' birth, at the cross, at the resurrection, or on the Day of Pentecost? Is the Day of Pentecost just for Pentecostal people and only about speaking in tongues? Or is it the beginning of something much greater that points us toward the return of Christ? In this lesson, we take a fresh look at the Book of Acts and discover how the giving...

This is a very special episode.  My good friend Edouard is a faithful disciple, a fruitful leader, and a man who has helped many people in France and other countries come to Jesus and grow as disciples. But right now, he is facing a very serious battle with cancer. The doctors have said they have no more treatment to offer. And yet, this is not a story without hope. I In this powerful and emotiona...

Because of a right heart and a humble attitude, they saw doors open that had never opened before.  Over the last few years, around 60 people have been baptized — many of them in a simple bathtub — and many more lives have been transformed.  This is not about taking over churches. It’s about serving, loving, and letting fruit grow over time.  You don’t want to miss this story. Follow Torben's...

Most Christians believe in God. But how many truly know Him?  In this episode, we talk about the difference between:  • Knowing about God  • And actually knowing God  There is a huge difference between theology and intimacy. Between information and relationship. Between correct doctrine and walking with the Holy Spirit.  📖 John 17:3 — “This is eternal life: that they know You…” Jesus didn’t say,...

There is a lot happening in the church right now. Sin is being exposed. Well-known ministers are being revealed to have lived double lives.  Videos are coming out that are shaking many people. Today we talk about that — but we also go deeper. Not just what is happening, but why. What is the real issue beneath the surface? And what is it that very few are talking about?  In this episode of the Disc...

What does it really mean to be “free indeed”? Jesus said: “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” (John 8:36) Yet many believers truly love Jesus—yet they are still bound. They want to live free, but they keep struggling with the same sin again and again. In Episode 2 of the Disciple Makers Podcast, we talk about a truth many avoid: 👉 A half gospel cannot produce real freedom. In...

Many believers have knowledge—but very little fruit. Jesus said the Father is glorified when we bear much fruit (John 15).  In this first episode of the Disciple Makers Podcast, we talk about the two kinds of fruit the Bible points to:  ✅ Fruit of the Spirit (character & holiness)  ✅ Fruit of making disciples (obedience, multiplication, and seeing lives transformed)  This is not a fancy stud...

Many churches today focus on meetings but often miss the life of discipleship that Jesus called us to. The Church Plus Vision is not about stopping Sunday gatherings but about adding the missing elements that bring transformation.  By making room for testimonies, obedience to the Word, and practical disciple-making, the DNA of the church can change. In this lesson, you will discover how to practic...

Christ Himself gave apostles, prophets, evangelists, shepherds, and teachers—not as titles, but as gifts to equip His body. These gifts are not for a few “special” leaders but for the growth and unity of the whole church.  In this lesson, you will discover the true purpose of the five-fold ministry, how it works in practice, and why every gift is needed for the church to become mature and fruitful...

With the right food at the right time, we can grow quickly—from infants, to young disciples, to mature parents who raise up the next generation. Jesus gave us the perfect model. He spent time with the Father, reached the one, mentored the three, discipled the twelve, empowered the 120, and touched the multitudes.  If we leave out any part of His model, we will miss the fullness of what God wants to do through us.  TLR Together: https://thelastreformation.com/together/ Follow Torben's Story here: TorbenSondergaard.com Live the Life of...

The right seed in the right ground will not produce without doing the Word. Listening alone, without action, brings no transformation. It is the doing of the Word that makes the seed grow into what it was created to be. This is an important lesson for every pastor and leader: no one can do this alone, which is why God has given us the five-fold ministry. Follow Torben's Story here: TorbenSond...

The right seed in the right ground creates an explosion of fruit—thirty, sixty, and a hundredfold.  But not everyone is the right ground. In this lesson, you will discover:  • Why the right ground is so important  • How to find it or help your church become it  • Why the seed cannot grow on its own—it needs the right ground to become what it was created to be Follow Torben's Story here: Torbe...

If you want to make disciples who multiply by making more disciples, you need the right seed. You begin with the seed and end up with many seeds—because the seed is the only thing that can multiply. As you will discover in Lesson 1, there is real power in the seed, and once you truly understand this, you will never be the same again.  Follow Torben's Story here: TorbenSondergaard.com Live the...

Understanding the cross of Christ will is an eye-opener for many. You will see that when we talk about the cross, we often stop too early. Christ did not simply rise and then disappear; the cross is not only about the restoration of Christ, as He is the firstfruits.  It also points to the restoration of all of us when He returns. I truly love the cross, and I know we all do. However, we must under...

We have now come to Jesus' teachings and His parables about the kingdom. If the church could just understand this, everything would change. Most live as if there is no wedding coming or don't understand the meaning of being prepared, having clothed themselves in fine linen.  This teaching opens up the parables of Jesus, making you fall in love with them and helping you to be ready for th...

There has never been a message I have spoken that has made a difference in Christians like this one. Many heard it and, in their hearts, decided to become good soil. One year later, their lives were dramatically different, bearing much fruit, all because they began listening to this teaching. "A sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seed fell along the path, and the birds came and devo...

When are you saved?  Being 'saved' is not a single point in lives where it all happens. It's not a vertical line on the timeline of our lives. No, it's horizontal. It's a journey, a road, we need to walk - and we need to finish that road. Torben explains what the Bible teaches about this.
