C3 Victory Sunday Sermons

The gospel is not just a message we believe once. It is the power of God at work in us every day. In this message from our series “The Power of the Gospel,” Simo unpacks Romans 1:16 and 2 Corinthians 3, reminding us that we don’t need to be ashamed or hesitant about the gospel, because it is God’s power that brings salvation and transformation. Many of us get spiritually stuck because we try to fi...

If the gospel really is this good, why does sharing it so often feel daunting? In this message, Pastor Mel launches our new series, The Power of the Gospel, unpacking Romans 1:16–17 and reminding us that the gospel is not just “good news” we know in theory: it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes. From Isaiah’s announcement of rescue, to Jesus declaring the Kingdom, t...

What is the purpose of the local church? In this bonus sermon from our series "The Church: God's Master Plan", Chris opens up Romans 12 and makes the case that the very thing that makes church complex is the thing that makes it strong, unpacking what it looks like to prefer others above ourselves, and why you find your purpose in the church when you embrace the purpose of the church....

In a world of deep uncertainty, Ps Darren unpacks one verse — Isaiah 41:10 — and the promise that God is both with us and for us. Written to a people in exile who had lost everything, it's a word for anyone facing an unknown future today. Uncertainty is an opportunity to know God more.

What does it look like to say yes to God when you're not sure what it will cost you? This conversation from our team returning from Vanuatu pulls back the curtain on exactly that question. From serving in schools and villages, praying with families, supporting new mothers in hospital, and helping build practical resources for local communities, the team reflects on what it means to say “yes” t...

You can be a part of someone else's freedom. In this message, we hear from Gigi of International Justice Mission, one of our mission partners, about the work of rescuing children from online exploitation in the Philippines and walking with survivors on the long road to restoration. Pastor Rachel then brings it home: the freedom Jesus brings isn't just for those in obvious chains. Using Isa...

Our mission is people, not programs. In this message, Pastor Darren continues our “Our Mission is People” series by looking at Acts 1:8 and the call of Jesus to be His witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. This isn’t just a call to the people we naturally connect with; it’s a call to love, serve, and reach people who are different from us, overlooked by us, or even...

What does it mean to truly be on mission? From hearing about the incredible work of Compassion on the ground in Indonesia to Pastor Karen's heartfelt reflections on decades of mission both locally and overseas, we were reminded in a fresh and meaningful way that the mission God has given us is not optional - it is the very heartbeat of what it means to be the church.

Happy Father's Day! In this sermon, we kick off our new series, looking at the first place we're called to make disciples... under our own roof. So how can we best raise our kids to not just succeed in life, but remain on the right path? Let's talk about it!

The church is a generational blessing. We are part of a living, growing community shaped by those who have gone before us and called to build for those who will come after us. In this message, we explore how the church creates an environment where faith can grow, lives can be strengthened, and the fire of God can be carried from generation to generation. Like a forest, the church provides covering...

What does it take to build a faith that can survive pressure, disappointment, loneliness, and hard seasons? In this message from our series “The Church: God’s Master Plan,” we look at what Scripture says about being planted in the house of God. Using passages from Jeremiah 17, Psalm 1, and Psalm 92, this sermon explores the difference between simply attending church and truly being rooted in godly...

What makes the church worth showing up for, even on the days you do not feel like it? This week, Pastor Geraldine brings a message that gets to the heart of why coming to church matters... Not out of obligation, but because of the genuine, life-giving benefit it offers each of us. Rooted in Matthew 16:18, where Jesus declares his intention to build his church on people just like us, the message un...

Recorded LIVE at Brotherhood Night, this message from Pastor Mark was so profound, we knew we had to get it out to the whole church. Sharing scriptures that shaped his life, Pastor Mark takes us through his story: From the earliest days of C3 in Sydney (falling flat on his face leading his first meetings) to the power of remaining planted in God's house over 40 years of ministry. This is a ser...

Are you truly planted in the house of God, or are you just attending? In this powerful message from our series “The Church: God’s Master Plan,” Pastor Darren unpacks why the church is not just a weekly event, but God’s Plan A for the world. Jesus said, “I will build my church,” and as apprentices of Jesus, we are called to build what He is building. If you’ve ever struggled with pride, offence, di...

What is the church really meant to be? In this message from Pastor Nate, we begin our series “The Church: God’s Master Plan” by looking at Jesus’ words in Matthew 16: “I will build my church.” The church is not just a building, a Sunday service, or a religious routine. It is the people of God, called out, gathered together, and sent into the world with purpose. If you’ve ever wondered whether chur...

If God is sovereign and loving… why does He allow so much pain, loss and confusion? In this message, Ps Darren unpacks one of the toughest and most important questions of the Christian life: How can God be fully in control and still be truly good when we walk through grief, disappointment and suffering? If you’re asking, “Where is God in this?” or “How can I trust God when I don’t understand?” thi...

What does it really mean when we say “God is holy”? And what does it mean when God calls you holy? In this message, we continue our “Nature of God” series by unpacking one of the most misunderstood attributes of God: His holiness. Many of us hear “holy” and think of strict rules, religious behaviour, or “holier‑than‑thou” attitudes. But holiness, in the Bible, is first about identity, not behaviou...

What if justice isn't just about punishment, but about restoration? Martin Luther struggled with this question in 1517. As a devoted monk, he feared God's justice because he knew his own heart wasn't perfect. But then he discovered something revolutionary in Romans 1:17: God's righteousness isn't just about judging us; it's about making us righteous through faith. This week...

What if I told you that God's love for you has absolutely no limits? In this Sermon, we explore the incredible truth that God IS love. Not just loving, but love itself. His love stretches beyond our human understanding, defined by His infinite nature. God's love is self-giving. He gave everything while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8). That's real love. You are loved, completely and...
