Beyond the Walls with Jeremy Thomas

In our salvation His work is everything, and it is like a multifaceted diamond where individual passages reveal a different aspect of His work. It is also like a tapestry with threads interwoven from the work of the Holy Spirit. We've been talking about the work of Jesus, let's conclude this three parter with the last of His works. We view it that way though, that to be judged is to find something wrong and to be corrected or punished. But it can also be good, to be judged to find the value of something, much like an appraiser values a piece of art or a house.  More information about Beyond the Walls, including additional resources can be found at www.beyondthewalls-ministry.com   This series included graphics to illustrate...

Where are we headed as the church, the body of Christ? And I'm not referring to spiritual Israel since we don't believe the church has replaced Israel. These are distinct entities in scripture. (This episode concerns the events of June 2025) Our support for Israel, despite their rebellion to God and their Messiah, is based on the eternal plan of God concerning His Son reigning on the throne of David; as we await His return and Israel's redemption.  More information about Beyond the Walls, including additional resources can be found at www.beyondthewalls-ministry.com   This series in...

Dead. Absolutely dead. Unless … … you have the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ who is life. You may have seen the bumper sticker that says “No Christ, No Peace, Know Christ, Know Peace”, and this is true in that He brings peace about our eternal state. Yet this misses the greater truth that in Christ is life, eternal life for our spirit now and a resurrected body with eternal physical life as well. Oh...

It's not about a faulty chromosome design. It's not about your joints wearing out. Or about imperfect food or environment. It is instead related to original rebellion and sin. But if you have believed in Jesus Christ you already have eternal life.  More information about Beyond the Walls, including additional resources can be found at www.beyondthewalls-ministry.com   This series include...

It's not evolution, we didn't do it by our strength or intellect, but we have become something new! At the moment of belief you became a new creature with a new Father, a new future, and indeed are a new species of human. Wonderful. If your church teaches that justification, that is a righteous standing before God our Father, is something to be earned through works, sacrifice, perseverance, or giving to the church, that is a doctrine designed to control you. These are works that the religious body of leaders has determined, and it is wrong. Christ earned all the righteousness you will ever need, and He gives it freely. More i...

We are not without law; but we are not under the law in order to obtain the merit of God and therefore salvation. Why do some get so confused by this? There are 180 references in the New Testament that salvation is simple belief in the Gospel, it couldn't be any more clear. And yet after salvation there are rules for our conduct, salvation is not a license to sinful living. Spread this good n...

Keeping the law will not save you. Following the Law of Moses, whether the 10 Commandments or any of the others, will not save you. Doing any work of any kind no matter how well intentioned is not required for salvation. The laws guide us to Jesus and our need for Him. After salvation God shows us through the law what is right and wrong about living, but even then there are components of the law t...

First it was offered to the Jews, and some believed but not all. Then it was offered to Samaritans, and some believed but not all. It was even offered to all those outside of Judaism. Yes, salvation is for all people who will believe, those who are choice by their belief and not chosen or elect by God.  More information about Beyond the Walls, including additional resources can be found at www.bey...

Belief is the only thing required for salvation, if perfect doctrine was required non of us would be saved. So how dare we judge other believers, especially new believers, if they hold ideas about God or the Bible that aren't accurate. Instead we need to be gracious toward them (and ourselves) and help them to read and understand doctrine through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. More informat...
