The Dark Paranormal

Welcome back to this week Dark Minisode, On today's Early Access to this week Dark Minisode, we hear about genuinely one of the most spine tingling accounts we've received. We've often spoken about how tragedy may somehow infest the area around it and occasionally replay itself in some terrifying horrific way, but what if that tragedy is the most famous tragedy in the world? Stay safe,...

Welcome back to Dark Realms, For today's Dark Realm, we journey to Kamloops, British Columbia, exploring the dark history and terrifying hauntings of the infamous Tranquille Sanatorium. Once a haven for those battling tuberculosis and later home to the mentally ill, Tranquille’s abandoned halls echo with decades of tragedy and despair. Join us as we uncover the spine-tingling legends that perm...

Welcome back, to The Dark Paranormal. They say some people are born more open to the unseen. For one listener, that openness became a lifelong sentence. Haunted homes, sleep paralysis, prophetic dreams, demonic visions, and something far darker lurking behind the familiar. But when a malevolent force begins to manipulate reality itself, it became clear: this entity wasn’t just passing through — it...

Welcome to this weeks Dark Minisode: Mirrored In The Crawlspace Today, one of our new Patreons gives us the origin point of a trilogy of tales. A haunting collection of connected experiences that blur the lines between sleep, spirit, and self, things turn from strange to truly sinister. With a background in the occult and lucid dreaming, our anonymous submitter takes us inside a life of eerie insi...

Welcome this weeks Dark Realm, the beautiful, and terrifying "Plas Teg". This jacobean mansion in the heart of North Wales apparently holds 15 ghosts and today, we'll take a closer look at a few of them. But with so many to choose from, this could be the first Dark Realm we return some point in the future. YES, you heard correctly, for the month of June ONLY, as a special anniversary t...

Welcome back, to The Dark Paranormal.   Just when I thought recent experiences have been so good (in a terrifying why) that there eventually needs to be a drop in calibre, we read a submission that was so breath taking I was talking about it with friends immediately after reading it. The theories around how thin the veil may appear to those unfortunate enough to experience dementia are as old as t...

Welcome to this weeks Dark Minisiode. Bethany today provides a minisode which is straight from a nightmare, yet genuinely believable. Her sister (Margo) gave her permission to share her experience as a health care worker. The experience she had whilst starting her career in home help, was one that literally changed her life, and career. Stay safe, Kevin. YES, you heard correctly, for the month of...

Welcome to this weeks Dark Realms. Today, thanks to a suggestion from our listener Candice, we step our virtual foot in to the Monte Cristo Homestead.  And in all sincerity, considering its relatively short lifespan in comparison to other locations we've covered, this may just be THE darkest realm we've investigated. YES, you heard correctly, for the month of June ONLY, as a special annive...

Welcome back, to The Dark Paranormal.   Today’s midseason episode is one I’ve genuinely been waiting for you to hear. It’s exceptionally rare I receive anything with attached photographic evidence, and although it’s been requested not to be shared, believe me when I say the experience itself paints all the imagery you need. I’m being sincere when I say that to me this is one of the most believable...

Welcome to this week’s Dark Minisode. Today, an anonymous contributor gives us a chronological re-telling of their journey from a mere “interest” in the occult, to moving on to the use of Pendulums. After this experience leads to negativity, our listener fails to heed certain warnings about everyone’s favourite “Talking Board” …and quickly learns the error of their ways. Stay safe, Kevin. YES, you...

Welcome back to Dark Realms. Today, thanks to our listener Diaz, we visit a place I'd not heard of before..."Cobia Island". Or, as it's better known as, 'Devils Island". And, after hearing about it, I'm sure you'll see why. I hope you enjoy this glimpse in to a horrific paradise. Stay safe, Kevin. YES, you heard correctly, for the month of June ONLY, as a special an...

Welcome back, o The Dark Paranormal.   This week’s episode is intentionally a slow burn—but sincerely don’t mistake that for comfort. Emily’s lifelong experiences are a chilling reminder that not all hauntings come with jump scares and flickering lights. Sometimes the most disturbing stories are the ones that unfold over years, stitched together by eerie moments we try to dismiss… until we no long...

Welcome back to this week’s Dark Minisode: Demonic Vessels. Today we have an encounter that in and of itself is quite short, however I simply could not ‘not’ share it with you, specifically after finding out some rather startling, or coincidental, historical information. Hopefully you’ll enjoy this Minisode as much as I did researching and making it. And if, as posited at the end, neither Zach nor...

Welcome to Dark Realms: La Casa Matisuta.   On today's Dark Realms we visit Lima, Peru, to what is allegedly their most haunted house. Certainly if the tales of burnt witches, cannibal-esque massacres and deaths are real it just may be...or is there something, arguably more sinister at work?   By making the choice of joining our Patreon team now, not only gives you early Ad-Free access to all...

Welcome back, to The Dark Paranormal. Our 3 rd episode delivers one of the most intriguing set of circumstances I believe we’ve covered in what, at first glance appears a standard ghost tale, but taking everything in to account, I believe this is anything but. My reasoning as to why I believe in this experience is given at the end, but what can’t be argued is when I first read this email, I took s...

Welcome to this weeks Dark Minisode: Catherine, Samuel…& The Devil. Today we hear from “MJ” (pseudonym), who recounts a litany of some of the most terrifying things ever crammed into one minisode. Ironically, “MJ” questions if her experience is “dark enough” to make it on the show, and I think you’ll agree with me when I say a few moments into her experience the answer is a resounding yes. Sta...

Welcome to our debut episode of Dark Realms for Season 20. And as it's a special season, we will begin with the most requested place to cover that we've received in our inbox, the infamous Gettysburg. A huge thank you to all those who suggested it, it was an education to research this to say the least, and possibly opened a few more rabbit holes along the way. By making the choice of joini...

Welcome back, to our 20 th Season of The Dark Paranormal.   Our second episode of Season 20 takes us to one of the most spiritual of places in England, Glastonbury. After a couple decide to move to greener pastures something decides to move in with them too, ‘in’ being the key word. For years now we’re told of the strong links between faith, religion and the battle against the darkness. But perhap...

Welcome access to the Debut S20 Dark Minisode: The Following Faceless. Today’s minisode is literally one of the most paranormally packed minisodes I believe we’ve ever covered. Chey, as fate would have it, shared her experiences this very day I recorded them, whilst back and forthing on what was previously going to take it’s place, it was ‘good’ but something I cant put my finger on was telling me...

Welcome back, to our 20 th Season of The Dark Paranormal.   We begin our anniversary season with an update from one of our most memorable, talked about and emotional experiencers today, Alex from “Demon On My Shoulder” (S15, EP5). I would encourage everyone, although not fully required, to re-visit that episode in order to grasp certain references and the whole gravitas of Alex’s situation. Has Al...

Hello all, Normally as a precursor to a Season Debut we release an episode of Dark Bites, however, with this being both our 5 th year anniversary as a show, and our 20 th Season, we decided something different was in order. Therefore, it was my absolute honour to interview renowned paranormal author, and a true walking database of paranormal phenomena Ruth Roper Wylde to the show to be this season...

Welcome back, to The Dark Paranormal.   For our Season 19 Finale, Sam walks us through her experiences with things she doesn’t assume a name for, but her whole experience seems to encapsulate many of the theories about what causes these phenomena throughout this season, from trauma to possible psychic gifts, and of course “staring into the abyss”. Also, as rare as these episodes are, Sam provides...

Welcome to our final Dark Minisode of Season 19. Belief, especially in the field we investigate on this show, is a very malleable item. Not so in the world of religion. Indeed, when both of these worlds collide, the results can land on the furthermost point of belief, and everywhere in between. However, as people have commented throughout time, belief itself can be the most powerful thing there is...

Welcome back to this weeks Dark Realm. This week, our listener Gabriella suggested we take a peek inside what's known as Sweden's most haunted house, and it didn't disappoint.  I hope you enjoy our little venture in to the history, spectres and mystery of this small rural vicarage. Stay safe, Kevin. Joining our Patreon team not only gives you early Ad-Free access to all of our episodes...

Welcome back, to The Dark Paranormal.   For our penultimate episode of Season 19 we have a truly heart wrenching and brutally honest re-telling of Kevin’s childhood upbringing in a turbulent environment. As we well know by now, turbulent emotions seem to be one of the biggest factors in certain hauntings, but its so interesting to hear the now 58-year-old Kevin describe how his young mind sought a...
