Because of the Holy Spirit, God's love cannot be separated from those who are in Christ Jesus. In Christ we are brought into the fellowship that God has enjoyed eternally, and we are brought into that fellowship through the Holy Spirit. He makes it possible for the Trinity to touch our lives.

Where we take a stand, and how we will experience our lives and homes being shaped by God's story, are through these 3 non-negotiables. 1st, a commitment to Gospel truth, 2nd, a commitment to sound doctrine, and 3rd, a commitment to confident hope. That's the recipe for how our lives, homes, and ultimately the world will be shaped by God's story. There's nothing to defend because we're not on the...

Join Pastor Will and listen as he takes us through 2 Corinthians and gives us these bullet points: Our hope emboldens us, our sin hardens us, our faith frees us, and our gaze changes us. Listen in to understand the meaning behind these points!

What comes to mind when you consider something that is home grown? Characteristics such as authentic, original, intentional, or fresh. Good things are home grown and impossible to mass produce. There is something missing when the focus and intentionality that only comes through proximity is lost. That's what sets something home grown apart! God's spiritual epicenter was always designed to be the h...

While Abel brought his best offering to God in faith, even his right choices could not bridge the gap of human sin. True approval from God isn't based on our performance, but on the superior, spilled blood of Jesus, who serves as the mediator of a new covenant. When we stay humble at the foot of the cross and yield to the Holy Spirit, worship moves beyond an event and begins to rule over sin in ou...

It's a tremendous thought to consider that God has a will for our lives! All that our lives are comprised of! His will isn't limited to these "big decisions" of life. His will permeates all our lives, even in the daily moments. His will extends from the church pew to the dining table. There is no greater joy than walking with the Lord and experiencing His good, pleasing, and perfect will. God's st...

Solomon was right. Life under the sun without Christ is futile. But life isn't limited to life under the sun. Jesus won the victory of God through the cross, and His kingdom will one day reclaim every square inch of this futile world, even as it ushers in a new heaven and earth.

Solomon hasn't said it because he didn't have the words, but he's reminded us of our need for God's grace. His unmerited and unearned favor over our lives. There is a riddle to life that will remain. Why do bad things happen to good people? I don't know because I'm not sure how we qualify "good." I know that I tend to fluctuate between self-righteousness and wickedness. Am I a good person? I'm not...

If you have a quarter friend, call them this week and tell them thank you for being your friend. Set up a time to do something. Husbands, give your wives a blessing to foster friendships. Step up this week to give your wife margin to spend time with a friend. She needs that time to be encouraged by another woman. Let's be especially mindful of mothers whose husbands are deployed or single parents....

I'm not sure what area of our lives God's timing might be causing frustration, but God has given us the perfect example of making everything beautiful in its time. He's demonstrated this in our eternal salvation! If God has done this for us in Christ, why would we not turn to Him in faith in all our activities under the sun? We can be frustrated by our limitations, or we can turn by faith to the o...

Solomon's downfall wasn't in his experience of pleasure. That's what can make life so ironic. God took pleasure in His creation! I don't know where we get the idea that following Jesus is anti-pleasure. No! It's when we pursue pleasure for our own glory that it becomes problematic. Go back and read Ecclesiastes 2 and see who is at the center of Solomon's world. He did not trust in the goodness of...
