Über den Sender

KUTX is a non-profit, listener-supported music service broadcasting from the University of Texas. We can be heard at 98.9 FM in Austin, Texas, and streamed worldwide here at kutx.org. Launched as a full-time music service by KUT (Austin’s NPR Station) in 2013, KUTX exists to reflect the spirit and diversity of Austin’s music scene, and to provide a global platform for Austin artists. We amplify the voices of Austin artists – known and emerging – through daily airplay, as well as live broadcasts from our Studio 1A performance space, features like the KUTX Artist of the Month, live events like Rock the Park and partnerships with NPR Music. KUTX features more local music than any station in Austin.
