In college I aspired to become a journalist, I even worked as a reporter for a few stories at my Alma mater Rice University student newspaper-Rice Thresher. I had wished I could have my own newspaper column documenting social interactions or knowledge I learned that day that I felt is interesting. It is easy to left business of life take away the joy and substance of life. I feel I’m doing exactly what I’m called to do with my life, working as a physician. Being a physician is not a job, it is a lifestyle. Letting medicine consume my all is the easy way, but I do not want to give in. I want my life to have diversity; after all, that’s why I chose urology as my specialty. Urology is one of the most diverse fields in medicine- we have to understand kidney and heart parts of internal medicine, we have to understand anatomy to perform surgeries.
