"The person attempting to travel two roads at once will get nowhere." — Xun Kuang

I was going to cover this with soundbites about ICE and their activities, but who needs that in their lives? I'd rather just listen to the noise. (I made this Followers Only, and nothing happened for 24 hours, no plays or feedback, (probably because I don't know how to use the system), so now it's public Thanks for being there, followers, some of you for many years now.)

Sometimes shit happens in a very satisfying way... The algorithm doesn't like it, says it's not ready or suitable to be pushed to interested listeners. I think that's some sort of compliment, I am really over algorithms.

Something that just happened

Recently Jo Richter (sonic structures and silent stretches) invited collaborations with the track https://soundcloud.com/sonic-textures/draengelgitter-instrumental This isn't what I initially intended, but it's what happened when I improvised on the track using Audiobulb's ambient v1 software. Realised in one take with some minor post-production to lessen distortion and add some subtle (for me) re...

Where to start? I assemble all my tracks in Audacity on my 15 year old PC and use every effect I touch way too much. For this one I picked reverb (specifically a plugin called Ambient Chamber on its “Space” setting), delay (always used irresponsibly and to excess), Paulstretch and Tempo Change. I stacked several of my recent tracks together and used all the above effects on them to varying degrees...

A bit time-lean on this one. I messed around with the sample, extending, adding reverb, converting with Harmonic Adder and ambient v.1, then spliced the results together. Tastier than expected. ---------------------------------------------- Step 1: Download the recording at the following link.
