As I remember an oldtimer from my childhood, it helps describe what things were like in the early days of motor transport growth and technological development. (Also, this was an edit from the October Episode because the sound/background sound needed tweaking)

We expand on what kinds of heavy haul trucks were used in the 19th century and move into the 20th century. This will set us up to discuss the development of heavy trucks leading up to the next millennium. 

What events and environment led to the place where modern trucking is today? This episode paints the picture of what the country was like at the turn of the 20th century when automobiles and vehicles of all sorts began to be used. This episode tells the story of the first road trip and eventually the first truck convoy to cross America.
