The Quantum Mechanics - Paranormal Podcast

David experienced a series of weird episodic dreams involving a family he would visit. Over time he came to believe there was something more than his subconscious at play. We investigate his story.   If you want to make our dreams come true and help sustain the podcast, consider becoming a Patreon at https://www.patreon.com/c/TQMpod

This Halloween we live streamed from our favourite haunted pub, The Cross Keys, in Thame, Oxfordshire. Hope you enjoy the highlights. To see the full video version go to https://www.youtube.com/live/zdDXIbUFAS4?si=wOaCitDbbvJ...

There are lots of stories about psychic surgeons - often they are proven fakes who use chicken entrails to simulate bloody surgery, promising to cure diseases that mainstream doctors have been unable to treat effectively.  But there is one case that stands out, and may well be real. Could an uneducated manual worker in South America really be possessed by the spirit of a medical genius? He convinc...

When strange noises began bothering the folk of this small military town nobody could have predicted the havoc that would ensue. From UFO sightings to poltergeist-like activity, Warminster became one of the most visited paranormal destinations in the UK - but, was it real or did one man play a part in creating a flap about nothing? As always, the truth is likely somewhere in the middle - and this...

In 1950 Nobel Prize winner Enrico Fermi asked the question "where are all the aliens?". It sparked huge debate as to why we have not encountered advanced extra terrestrial life, and theories that we are alone in the universe. We look into those arguments, and discover the 'Fermi Paradox' is not a paradox and has very little to do with Enrico Fermi.    If you want to solve the paradox of being able...

We spent the night in one of the world's most haunted prisons. We were not expecting anything spooky. But as you will hear, about half way through, in terms of the paranormal it all kicked off! Ghost sightings, music boxes going off, EVPs and thrown objects. We really don't know what to make of it.  If you would like to help us make more field trips and get out of jail, consider supporting us at h...

We delve into a case a mass possession, that ripped an idilic French town apart and resulted in the trial and execution of a seemingly innocent man.

We delve into scientific research that may prove we live in a simulated reality. What seems like computer code has been found in quantum physics equations and DNA. Even the existence of maths itself could be a sign.    If you want to help make our dreams a reality (even if it is only simulated), support us at https://www.patreon.com/TQMpod

From the hippy times of the 1960's, a new thinking about plant consciousness emerged - perhaps the humble onion could actually think for itself? It sounds bizarre, but even the CIA was interested in the spying abilities of the humble houseplant. This week we look at how this thinking gave us cybernetics, several horror movies and a modern scientist determined to prove that plants really can think...

Seeing a ghost on dry land is scary enough, imagine coming across one 60 metres under the sea while scuba diving. When we think of Cryptids, Bigfoot, Werewolves, or Nessie come to mind. But there is a rich vein of lesser known bug like cryptids that are said to exist. When psychiatrist Dr. Richard Gallagher was asked by an Exorcist to assess someone who claimed to be possessed by demons, the Dr. was skeptical about the idea of demonic possession. However, after working with Exorcist for many years he came to believe, that though most cases were due to psychological conditions, some were genuine cases of demonic involvement. We discuss his book "Demonic Foes'  ...

When 'The Man' was published as a dream experiment, the image gained much interest. We look at the similarities between this phenomenon and Indrid Cold, and conduct our own remote viewing experiment. Do we see evil faces in our minds as side effect of a psychological function, or is there more going on? We attempt to find out.   Make US grin by joining us at www.patreon.com/TQMpod

In 1986 two smartly dressed men attacked newscaster Dan Rather, shouting at him "Kenneth, what's the frequency?". The story that followed saw the incident featured in literature, art and music. It led to a murder from an alleged time traveller, and sparked a conspiracy involving the KGB and the CIA.   If you are on our wave length support us at https://www.patreon.com/TQMpod

We often think of UFOs as huge machines which have travelled millions of miles to observe Earth. But what if they weren't all that way? Tiny drones, small machines and an infamous ball all appear this week - as does a scientific look at some strange material found in the ocean, verified by academic sources.  For more paranormal shenanigans join us at www.patreon.com/TQMpod   - we have a lively com...

A few weeks ago we looked at a scientific paper that put forward a quantum theory to explain time slips. Could it also explain what we regard as ghosts? We travelled through space and time (mainly our research material and the internet) to find out.    If you like what we do, want extra exclusive content, and help us make the podcast, consider supporting us at https://www.patreon.com/TQMpod

For this year's Stone Watch we upped our game. On our road trip we took in the Rollright Stones, and of course ended up at the Hoar Stone in Enstone to watch it "move" at midnight. Not only was there more stones, more stories (thanks to James from the Loremen Podcast), we were also joined by the Psychic Sidekicks (Trudi and Nicola) to share their vibes and lead us through a meditation experiment. ...

We begin by examining the beliefs of the Hopi people, where we realise that the warnings given to them by the Ant People sound very like the messages given to contactees in the latter part of the 20th century. Is there a pro-human agenda amongst our celestial cousins, or is something much darker keeping itself veiled? Where we end up is, once again, a bit disturbing.  Become part of the team at ww...

Study after study seem to suggest that humans and other animals, have levels of ESP, and some kind of collective consciousness. So why doesn't science take it more seriously? We delve into the work of Rupert Sheldrake to find out.  If you like the work that we do please consider supporting us at https://www.patreon.com/TQMpod

Historical UFO sightings were often controlled by the Church, but as newspapers began to invent journalism the reports became more reliable. Maybe. In this episode we look at a curious sighting by a group of fishermen in 1665, and one author's take on the case. Was it aliens, a miracle or merely some birds? Lets find out... Stories of folk encountering people and places from the past are more common than you might first imagine, but what could cause this phenomenon? Is it related to ghosts, or is there a scientific theory to explain it all? This week we look a paper which has a quantum theory for what is going on - but does it hold water? We will see...Great stories and hard-to-explain theories abound in this week's...
