The Quantum Mechanics - Paranormal Podcast

Spanning multiple decades from 1943 to 1983, The Montauk Project was a secret project in mind control and time travel. It is either one of the biggest conspiracies in human history, or science fiction passing off as fact. We investigate the story and play some paranormal bingo on the way. Many philosophers and scientists have come to the conclusion that there is no such thing as free will. Some experiments seem to back up that view. Does this mean that everything we do, or think, has been pre-programmed since the birth of the Universe? If you think you do have free will, maybe choose to support us by becoming a Patreon at https://www.patreon.com/TQMpod

Labyrinths are strange places, puzzles that conceal a secret at their heart - perhaps, even, a gateway to another realm. This week we look at the science of getting lost, and find some tales that you won't have heard before. It would be a-maze-ing if you joined us at Patreon.com/TQMpod - ad free eps ahead of everyone else, and extra episodes await!

The first recorded account of Sun-strangeness we look at takes place in 400 BCE, but the most intriguing reports of anomalous objects near our star are very much more modern.  From barges to giant cubes, is something else getting a tan up there? Records of encounter with the Yeti, also known as the Abominable Snowman, date back as long as 340 BC. Expeditions in the 1950s and 1960s brought us photo evidence and tales of encounters. We assess an avalanche of data, and hear what Yeti obsessed Brian Blessed, and Sir David Attenborough have to say on the existence of the beast.    If you like what we do please consider supporting us at https:/...

Some of the strangest noises on the planet come from under the sea. Sometimes we know what they are, and sometimes we don't. And then we have some talking Orcas. It's a strange episode indeed, and neither of us are going to look at the sea in the same way again.  Come on in, the water's scary - at Patreon.com/TQMpod

A small village in Eastern Europe in 1725, saw the start of an outbreak of Vampires, after reports of the undead attacking locals. Word reached the Emperor, and the military, church, and medical professionals were sent to investigate. What they found in the graves shocked them. Many bodies were described as being in a state of vampirism. This story is not from folklore, but found in official gover...

We spent the night at a haunted bakery. We talk to people who live and work there. They tell us their stories of; a screaming child at 3am, a poltergeist who pinches staff, shadow people sightings, a spooky hand that closes doors, a head in a washing machine, and a baker who had a terrifying encounter with a Jinn.   If you want to help us fund new field trips, please consider supporting us at http...

We begin by returning to The Cassiopeian Project where an entity has been unravelling the true origin of the UFOs seen over large parts of the US and UK recently. So much of how we think of Vampires is entwined with Bram Stoker's book Dracula, but what folklore inspired Stoker. We explore the pre Dracula era that led to the rise of the Vampire; from ancient blood sucking entities, to Eastern European graveyards, to Western paranoia. Leaning heavily on Nick Broom's book 'Vampire A New History'.    Help support our podcast by becoming a Patreon at https://www...

The huge distances involved in communicating with possible alien civilisations means that it would take centuries to have a conversation governed by the speed of light. But a new idea known as Quantum Tunnelling means that we may be able to talk to our next door neighbours, in space, in real time. The method for this communication could also mean that aliens have been using novel methods to commun...

We can't ignore the strange happenings over our skies, with drones appearing on a nightly basis in the UK, USA - and beyond. Are they aliens, enemy aircraft, hobbyists or our own military? To us, the current conversation mirrors some older cases, and the similarities with airship, UFO and ghost rocket 'invasions' are too much to ignore.    Stay close to us in 2025 by joining us at Patreon.com/TQMp...

Stories of superhuman strength feel like urban legends, but there are many real life examples, in fact The Hulk was inspired by one witnessed by it's creator. We have stories of a mother lifting a two tonne car for five minutes to save her child, a 72 year old man lifting three times the world record, and a woman taking on a polar bear to save a group of children. Is this phenomena paranormal, or...

Since it appeared that we captured something in our recent field trip, in this episode we look at the work of researcher Konstantĩn Raudive. We listen to some of his recordings, and then get surprised when we discover that he made some phone calls from beyond the grave himself. Is it real? Let's try to find out.    Join us at patr...
