1 Thessalonians 2:1-12 |  Pastor Cory is back in Paul's letter to the Thessalonians with a very powerful message today. While Paul is describing his past and current ministry to the churches, he is not only speaking to the pastors and church leaders. Instead, every believer is meant to follow after his example of longsuffering, holiness, and integrity in the ministry. Pastor Cory makes the ex...

Matthew 18:21-35 Our brother Will Dicus brings us a very important message on forgiveness from the very mouth of Jesus. Our Lord commanded us not to only forgive once, or twice, or even ten times, but to not set a limit on how many times we are to extend forgiveness to someone. This may seem like an impossible command sometimes given what certain people may put us through, but all of that pales in...

1 Thessalonians 1:1-10 |  Pastor Cory elbow dropped this text right to our souls this morning. Paul is writing to a church at Thessalonica that, even amidst persecution and spiritual warfare, was committed to being a sounding board for the gospel in the world. They labored in love and were longsuffering as they faced attacks from without and within. They were a church that not only received the bl...

Nehemiah 1:4-11 |  Pastor Troy finishes chapter 1 of Nehemiah with an in-depth look at the concern that Nehemiah has for the people and nation of Israel.  Not only do we have to take Nehemiah's word for it, his actions indicate just how burdened he was for the city and land he has never seen with his own eyes. He was so burdened that he wept and mourned over the city, he fasted for many days....

Jeremiah 9:23-24 Our brother Will Dicus brought a very powerful message from the words of the prophet Jeremiah to the people of God. The nation of Judah was now facing the judgment of God because they had not heading the warnings to repent of their own ways. They had begun to lean on their own wisdom, strength, and riches. Today, this message hits home for us as God's people. This world and t...

Nehemiah 1:1-3 Pastor Troy says that the Lord has led him to continue our series on the Church by moving into a study of the book of Nehemiah. A Jew who had never actually stepped foot in Jerusalem and the cupbearer to the pagan king of Babylon, Nehemiah's faith was not hampered despite these challenges. In fact, he had a zeal for God's kingdom that we today ought to take a lesson from....

Luke 9:23-27  Pastor Cory brings a powerful message about discipleship from Jesus' famous words in Luke 9. We've all heard before, "pick up your cross and follow me," but how can we actually do that in our lives? Jesus says that we are deny ourselves. We must surrender the control that we think we have in our lives and seek to follow after Him. It is the person that is constant...

Acts 17:28-32; Mark 12:17-28 Pastor Troy closes out our 2026 Homecoming with a message about the afterlife. As we gathered to honor those who have gone on before us, the reality of death was heavy on our hearts. The Bible is clear, however, that death is not the end. There is indeed a life after this world, and we must look to God's Word to see what awaits us on the other side. Pastor Troy ha...

John 3:14-16 Pastor Cory opens up our 2026 Homecoming with a powerful message breaking down one of the most famous passages in the Bible. Pastor Troy has been in a series series on Worship for a while, but says...

2 Corinthians 4:16-18  Pastor Cory ends the 4th chapter of Second Corinthians with a message that is both encouraging and convicting. Encouraging on the note that this world cannot touch us when we look past the temporal trials and obstacles to the eternal glories of Christ. Convicting because we realize that we have this eternal hope and strength yet we constantly take our eyes and hearts off of...

Proverbs 30:1-6 Pastor Troy is back in the pulpit this morning after some time away with a strong message out of the book of Proverbs! The beginning of Proverbs chapter 30 gives us an outline for what we must do in order to truly lean upon...

2 Corinthians 4:7-15 Pastor Cory delivered a powerful message yesterday morning about what it means to having our Lord and Savior living within us. In ourselves, we have no hope, We have no power or lasting strength apart from Him. We are but earthen vessels, jars of clay, fitted for the masters use. With Christ within us, our hope is no longer of, from, or in this world or in ourselves. Let us al...

Luke 16:19-31 Our brother Will Dicus brought an excellent message this morning from the parable of the rich man and Lazarus. These men could not have been more different. One was rich and one was poor. One had everything in this world and the other had nothing. Yet when their life ended, each man's role was reverse. Join us as Will dives into what it truly means to be rich in Christ and not t...

2 Corinthians 4:1-6 Pastor Cory brought an incredible and timely message today. The devil wants nothing more than to get God's people to lose heart. Paul sets himself up as the example of how never to give up no matter the opposition. As a man who had the world, the flesh, and the devil against him and his gospel work, he understood that the mercy and grace of God was sufficient to carry him...

Revelation 1-3 Pastor Troy brought us a final message this morning regarding the churches of Revelation. To wrap up this series, he says that all of Jesus' letters to the churches can be boiled down to one point. "Repent." We have a church in America that is declining. All the while we are praying for revival in this country, we have churches full of people who are more concerned wi...

Psalm 91:1-16 Pastor Cory brings a powerful message today out of one of the later Psalms in the book. The writer offers a picture of God as a refuge and shield against all enemies and evil. We must run to this deliverance, we must pursue His secret place, His rest in our lives. He offers complete freedom from sin and death, as well as Divine protection against His wrath poured out upon the world....

Psalm 23:1-6 Pastor Troy brought his message for the commencement of our Emerald Crossing VBS. The curriculum focused on Psalm 23, so Troy tied everything together with his sermon this morning. Pastor Troy...

Isaiah 55:1-13 Pastor Cory delivered us an excellent message this morning out of the prophet Isaiah. Here in the latter half of the book, Isaiah has switched from themes of wrath and judgment to those of mercy and redemption. Ultimately, God promises His people the sure mercies of David, who are fulfilled in Jesus Christ. He invites us to come to Him for all of our fulfillment and renewal. Rather...

Revelation 3:14-22  Pastor Troy is back in our series on the church with a sermon out of Christ's message to the church of Laodicea. As New Testament believers and church members today, we ought to take an interest in this sin that our Lord was so vehe...

Paul asks a central question to the integrity of the gospel: what can separate us from the love of Christ? He clearly answers this in the passage---NOTHING! Cory takes us into the text and shows us exactly what that means for us in our Christian walk today. We can stand firm on the foundation of...

Revelation 3:7-13 Pastor Troy is back in our series on the churches of Revelation! This morning we dove into Jesus' message to the church of Philadelphia. While Jesus had nothing bad to say about this church really, that doesn't mean that He did not expect anything from them. Pastor Troy reminds us, it is not about how well we start, but about how well we finish. Jesus says that He has g...

Ephesians 6:10-20 Bother Will Dicus brought a powerful message on spiritual warfare and the armor of God. In a day where everyone tries to come up with a materialistic to explain everything, the Bible is clear. We face a real enemy in the spiritual realm, and if we are not prepared to fight we will be easily taken down. God gives us everything we need in order to withstand Satan's attacks and...

Revelation 3:1-6 Pastor Troy brings us another powerful word regarding the church from the book of Revelation! The church at Sardis was much like the city in which it dwelt. They appeared to be doing well on the outside, yet Jesus knew their hearts. See, we can fool others all day long, but Jesus has the perfect and all-knowing Spirit of God, who searches and knows the hearts of man. May we be ind...

Exodus 2:1-10  Pastor Cory brought us a very inspiring message for Mother's Day today! He expounds the story of Moses' mother, when she laid him in the river instead of throwing him in to die. She could not let the law of the land or any pressure of man cause her to bring harm to her baby. She is an excellent picture of how a mother is supposed to fight to protect her children, as well a...
