Drawing from the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew chapter 5, we are reminded that our calling as followers of Christ is not passive or private.

Aloha and welcome to The Mission North Shore's podcast! Every believer will one day stand before Christ to have their life's work evaluated. Aloha and welcome to The Mission North Shore's podcast! After three chapters on everything God has done for us in Christ, Paul says “therefore, walk.” Taoa unpacks what it means to walk worthy of the calling we’ve already received: with humility, unity, and every gift at work. We don’t walk this way to become children of God; we walk this way because we already are.

Aloha and welcome to The Mission North Shore's podcast! What if the disciple we have written off as the weak link is actually one of the most relatable and instructive figures in all of the Gospels? Thomas, forever branded with the label 'Doubting Thomas,' turns out to be far more complex and far more like us than we ever gave him credit for. This message walks us through all four o...

Aloha and welcome to The Mission North Shore's podcast! The story of Gideon in Judges 6 and 7 pulls us into one of the most dramatic and counterintuitive military campaigns in all of scripture, where an army of 32,000 is whittled down to just 300 before the battle even begins. The central message is not about strategy, strength, or numbers. It is about the transforming reality of God's p...

Aloha and welcome to The Mission North Shore's podcast! What if everything about the way we gather, the places we worship, and the temporary nature of our surroundings is actually pointing us toward something eternal? That is exactly the thread we pull on in this message, beginning with the striking reminder that we are sojourners and strangers in this world, not settlers. Heaven is our home,...

Aloha and welcome to The Mission North Shore's podcast! What does it mean to truly hunger and thirst for something? We all know that feeling of physical hunger, that primal, consuming drive that takes over our thoughts and demands to be satisfied. In this teaching drawn from Matthew 5:6, we explore what it looks like when that same intensity is directed toward righteousness and the things of...

This passage pulls back the curtain on one of the most tension-filled moments in David's life,...

Aloha and welcome to The Mission North Shore's podcast! What happens when life is going well, blessings are flowing, and everything seems to be falling into place? Aloha and welcome to The Mission North Shore's podcast! From the Garden of Eden to the cross of Christ, the Sabbath points us toward God's ultimate plan for humanity. We learn that Jesus didn't come to give us another religious...

Aloha and welcome to The Mission North Shore's Podcast! Here we study three confrontations between Jesus and the religious leaders—the healing at the Pool of Bethesda, the disciples eating grain, and the man with the withered hand—and discover a consistent pattern. The Pharisees had taken God's simple command to rest on the Sabbath and twisted it into legalism with over 1,500 burdensome...

Aloha and welcome to The Mission North Shore's podcast! This passage from John chapter 5 takes us to the Pool of Bethesda, where we encounter a man who had been crippled for 38 years. What makes this healing particularly striking is that it was an act of pure mercy, completely independent of the man's faith. He didn't even know who Jesus was until after his healing. This challenges...

Aloha and welcome to The Mission North Shore's podcast! This powerful message takes us into Mark chapter 2, where we witness Jesus doing something absolutely scandalous for His time: calling a despised tax collector named Matthew to be His disciple.
