The Collective Church
WELCOME TO THE WEEKLY PODCAST OF THE COLLECTIVE CHURCH LED BY ROB & KIRSTIN MAUD.The Collective Church is a community based in Johannesburg, South Africa, living life and loving God together. We hold within our name the idea that together we are stronger. We meet as a diverse group of individuals, each one beautiful and unique, a gift themselves, but when we come together we find family. We find a unity and love that only the Spirit can bring. You can only discover who you fully are when you are found in His family.

This week, Hamish brought a message called "Reframing Hope." Drawing from the journey of Moses and the Israelites, he unpacked how the love of God redeems our imagination and lifts our eyes beyond present reality. Small Obedience, Generational Impact | Sean Williams | 28 June 2026 28.06.2026 30:11
This week Sean Williams was with us, sharing on Small Obedience, Generational Impact - a look at Gideon's story. The struggle, Sean suggests, wasn't fear but a culture of compromise that dulled God's voice. The turning point comes through Gideon's father Joash, who chooses repentance and shields his son's obedience. Jannine closes with Isaiah 41 and the wind that blows away the chaff. The worst th...

Drawing from John 15, Hebrew and Greek word studies, and the remarkable story of Brother Lawrence, Rob invites us into a life of permanent, fruitful connection with God, where peace flows not from passivity, but from union. This week, Langa unpacks “The Apologetic of Oneness,” anchoring in John 17 where Jesus prays we’d be one as the Father, Son, and Spirit are one. He shows how sacrificial, boundary-crossing love—rooted in the gospel—makes the church’s witness credible. Oneness isn’t theory; it’s costly, everyday practice: laying down time, treasure, and pride so our shared life demonstrates the kingdom and draws th...
