The Aftermath

We talked about three big things this episode. First, is how the mad scientist who doesn't care for anything might actually love the daughter he has created. Then, we talked about how the best uncle and niece casually took down a god. Last but not least, the thing we've all been waiting for, the fact that Uryu has been a double agent this whole time. After an entire year Dylan and I have returned to Bleach, and it did not hesitate to throw us right back in where we left off. Our boy Uryu is continuing to betray us and bringing about the end of the world. YouHaBadGuy remade the Royal Palace, and now all the good guys and bad guys are in one place. So I expect lots of fights and maybe some big character deaths. Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan...

To end this trilogy Dylan and I finished the last few episodes of this series. Join us as we talk trash about T-Rexes, weird looking salamanders, and finally the Artemis II project. It doesn’t make sense, and it doesn’t have to. We had a little rant at the end. Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

Dylan and I finally started up our playthrough of Mass Effect 3, and we were able to convince Ethan to take a break from his homework and come chill with us. We discussed the progress on the anime Ethan and Dylan are watching together. As well as, how Dylan put all his points into melee for Shepard and how they are more dangerous than his guns. This week we are joined by a long time friend of the show, Jon, and Dylan got a little something special. He got his hands on Aura Battler Dunbine, a mecha anime from the early 80’s that we and I talked about last week. We watched the first two episodes, gave our first impressions, and talked about the games we’ve been playing this week. Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

Tonight we chilled out and played games like the good old days, and now we’re here talking about it. We hit up all the good games: Granblue Relink and Versus, Super Robot Wars Y, Space Marine II, Helldivers 2. If that wasn’t enough we found out Commissar Yarrick is alive! What a day to celebrate. Not gonna lie to you. This might be our most educational episode yet. We talked about dinosaurs, phobias, and last but certainly not least, crabs! At the end of the day, everything inevitably returns to crab. Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

What do you get when you cross a crafty fox, three mean-spirited farmers, and one last great heist? Fantastic Mr. Fox! Join us as we dig into Wes Anderson’s stop-motion masterpiece. Get in the tiny motorcycle sidecar, we are going to steal all the apple cider... and maybe some chickens along the way too. Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

Join me and my best friend as we talk about dinosaurs, and share crazy dreams we had when we were kids. In the end Dylan never made it outside, and I was never able to save Batman. Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

This was a fun one. We got Ethan back in the studio, and I may have had a little too much to drink. Nevertheless, there were snacks, biirus, laughs, and unfortunately feet stuff. Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

Here we are with another Godzilla film, this time with plant matter. It’s flora against fauna in this clash of titans, and spoiler Godzilla is the better of the two. We’re just surprised the mad scientist wasn’t thrown in prison for creating a giant tentacled rose monster. Also, don’t step on the giant metal hexagons in the field. You will be atomized out of existence. Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send u...

Welcome to the new year! Now, stop me if you’ve heard this before, but Dylan and I talked about shows and games we’ve been into recently. With a heavy focus on a few Vanillaware games that have had our attention. Also, it wouldn’t be a conversation episode if we didn’t reminisce on some of our favourite old games as well. Welcome to our sixth annual Hjönse Awards! There were only a couple good contenders for the award this year, but ultimately, as usual, we have come to a consensus. This year we have chosen Andor: Season 1, one of the only good shows to come out of Star Wars in recent history. For those of you who may not know. This award is given to a film or series that we thought was going to be bad, or had litt...

Here we go again; we looked back on all the games released in 2025, and share our feelings on them. There were many great games this year that have become regulars in our collection. I made sure to highlight some of the big names for us to talk about. Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

Once upon a time there was a unicorn, the last of her kind, and she went on a quest to find what became of the other unicorns. Along the way she meets the great and powerful Schmendrick the Wise, and Molly. Neither of them truly appreciate Schmendrick, and in fact, are quite ungrateful. Eventually they find the Red Bull and the unicorn gets enough energy to cast him into the sea. Our Links: Ian Wo...

Tonight we opened the flood gates. We talked about Iron-blooded Orphans, the rest of Gundam, and let’s be honest all the other amazing mecha anime we’ve grown to love. We basked in our shame, and shook our fists at the prices of these Blu-rays now. Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

Here we are, at the end of the season. This was a great show, and these final episodes did not disappoint. We had ship battles, espionage, stormtrooper, and bricks. Everything you could have ever asked for from a Star War. I just hope that B2EMO makes it out okay. Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

The joke is that the Batarians aren’t actually there, and everyone is thankful. Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

Tonight our adventure begins with a girl who is a little ungrateful, and in desperate need to get rid of her brother. Suddenly, a man wielding a crystal ball claiming to be The Goblin King takes her brother and puts her in a maze. All of the sudden she wants her brother back now, for some reason. Now you’re alone with a hobbit peeing into a fountain. Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

We’re back again in the whimsical world of Studio Ghibli. This time we get to see a young boy fall in love with a fish and witness every stage of her become human. His task is to love her through each stage, even the weird chicken/frog stage. To speak on the difficulty of this we invited Grimby on the show to share his experience. We’re back in prison with Cassian, but not for long! One way out! Our man Kino finally comes around and we devise a plan to break out. All the while Mon Mothma is trying to sell off her daughter for the good of the Rebellion, Bix is being tortured, and Karn is confessing his love for Dedra! Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

Today we recapped our walkthrough of Mass Effect 1 and 2. It’s my first time going through this series, and so far Dylan and I are having too much fun doing Mystery Science Theater type dialogue over the gameplay. So far we have rejected everyone else to hopefully romance Ashley in 3, but I won’t lie, we are having doubts. Our Links: Ian Wolffe Send us Fan Mail

Today’s episode is a bit heavier than past episodes of this show. I have been inspired by life and death and the beautiful art we make in between. From an amazing Twenty One Pilots concert to the loss of a friend’s relative, these past few weeks have opened my eyes again. Be intentional about loving and appreciating your friends and family, let the fire of inspiration drive you, but don’t be afrai...

On this episode of the ‘Bout Nothin’ Podcast I’m joined by Ian and Dylan. We’re so back. We talk ‘Bout my recent trip to Kilimanjaro Tanzania, my inspiration for trying to climb, and share a couple other travel stories as well. Our Links: ‘Bout Nothin’ Send us Fan Mail

What a weird episode this was. Ethan joined us for what was supposed to be an episode on The Emperor’s New Groove, but it ended up being about a lot of things. How the animation industry isn’t the same, how comedy isn’t what it used to be, and how AI is taking over the internet. Did you know that this film will be 25 years old this December?
