Story Time

We've got two wild and crazy fairy tales for today's episode, fresh returned from David's birthday. And no, it is NOT Thumbelina.  PLUS! David has a very special musical surprise for Michael (that he teased a few episodes ago). You don't want to miss out on this one, cuz there ain't no club like a...

The kids are at it again! Tobias is having a bit of an identity crisis, so it's a good thing someone is looking for him to make it more complicated. The first (canon) book back after the David trilogy and things don't really get much easier. But is Tobias, and more importantly are YOU ready for the truth that's about to be revealed?

The boys are back after an unintended break thanks to In-Laws and Covid, and hit the ground running. Michael jumps us back into the Grimms Brothers' catalog and boy does this one go places. Plus, David hints at an upcoming surprise for Michael.

Time for another check-in with our hosts personal lives. Michael has had a harrowing few weeks and needs David to know about it. David has an idea for a new show.

After the events of the last few Animorphs books and a rough birthday week, David gives Michael a break with the first of our non-canon, Choose-Your-Own-Adventure style story! Play along with Michael and see if you have what it takes to be an Animorph and stop the Yeerks!

Strap in and get ready, because Michael brings in the next few fairy tales and...David has notes.

It all comes down to this! The newest member of the team has not turned out well so far, and things are quickly getting deadly. Can Rachel control her rage long enough to set things right? Have the Animorphs finally met their match? Will the leaders of the free world all be captured? There's too much going on!

It's time for another triple dose of fairy tales! Some fun and...interesting formats to these ones. Mother Goose better watch out!

The David Trilogy continues! Jumping in right where last episode left off, the gang is in trouble and it's only going to get worse from here. Laser eyes, Trick-ception, giant fleas, and a heaving helping of tragedy all this week!

Strap in and hold on, because things are about to get wild. The Animorphs find themselves with a possible new teammate, and his name is David! The timing couldn't be worse thanks to a new and incredibly pressing mission. Come on in and see the foundational story for David's theory on characters named David!

Another week, another collection of fairy tales! Michael brings the next three Grimms Brothers tales for us, and one of them is sure to sound familiar to many. The others are just...weirder. Also I know the story is really titled Little Red Cap but saying Little Red Riding Hood instead will probably get more hits. Don't at me. Or do, I guess. @TheStoryTimePod

It's another check-in on our lives and boy are there updates! A wedding, a surgery, and some anime for some reason all this week!

It's time to deal with the aftermath of getting blasted back to the late cretaceous period and causing a mass extinction event! David is back with more Animorphs and Cassie is dealing with some pretty heavy feelings. But will that matter when her biggest secret is in jeopardy? Come on as Michael finds himself a little too caught up in this week's story! Also shout out to Lotan for putting together...

The boys are back and it's time for more absolutely bonkers fairy tales! Michael thinks at least one of these stories rings particularly true for David, but we'll see!

Hang on to your shoes, because this one is wild! David is back with the next chapter in Animorphs, and the kids are in for quite a TIME. Non-stop action with a healthy dose of war trauma awaits, a tale as old as...time?

We're feeling back to our normal selves this week, and to celebrate Michael has brought a long-requested story- Cinderella! Find out what it takes to get one over you evil step mother, how to avoid the authorities, and ultimately that piety is key...we think?

The boys are back and finally get to talk to each other! David mourns a recent loss, Michael wants to see a Captain Planet movie, and both vaguely know some stuff.

We're back to the tough and war-torn 90s as David returns with the next installment in K.A. Applegate's Animorphs series. Join our favorite Andalite Ax as he struggles with his identity and loyalties, trust issues, and psychic frogs! Plus, freaking crazy space stuff!

It's a new year and the boys are back! Michael has quite the surprise for David today with a brand new (occasional) show format! Join us as the show itself becomes the story, as David is whisked through chapter after chapter of our own Table of Contents. And oh yeah... it's our 150th episode so have some cake or something for us!

The boys are back and ready for more insane and morally questionable alien wars! A surprise weapon forces a decision on the ethics of warfare, and Michael is on fire with his predictions! Plus "celebrity" appearances!

We're back! After an accidental two weeks off, Michael brings more old fairy tales as promised! Learn the value of makings friends (or killing horses), the dangers of soup, and the divinity of tailors, all this week!

Dial up those modems and check you IMs, because it's time for our shapeshifting heroes to learn about the dangers of the internet! When a website has some true information about the Yeerks, the kids have no choice but to investigate. Plus: Michael invites David to Thanksgiving, and that question WILL BE ANSWERED.

Promises were made and promises are kept on this week's Story Time! Michael takes us once again to vague 1800s Germany thanks to our favorite Brothers Grimm, with a duo of great tales. One may be very familiar to many, the other probably not so much.

It's time to go swimming with the fishes this week, as David brings the next saltwater powered shape-shifting sci-fi in Animorphs! Visser One is back and working on a secret, and that means the secret might be out for Marco. What could the Yeerks be doing under the waves? Find out here!

It's time for more fairy tales as Michael has a trio of delights for us this week! Learn how not to run an inn, how not to drink water, and how definitely not to jump out of a tower!
