Story Time

Back to England we go, and just in time for the dreaded public dinner! But before that, David and Michael are blessed with an episode of Law and Order: Victorian Era. Are poisoners a thing you can be? Does it always create a storm when a woman takes her socks off? Can a child sell their own soul to the Devil, at least in English law? All this and more!

More tales from Mother Russia! This week Michael has a deceptively named story for David featuring all sorts of magic, harrowing chases, and possibly the world's first Animorph! 

Michael promised you in our last episode, and when have we ever not delivered on a  promise? (Don't answer that) Well this time we came through! Here's a bonus "Shorty" episode with a fun little story from Russia.  Learn how not to care for your pets, how to know your limits, and most importantly... THAT IT'S BUTTER WEEK! 

Oh boy do we have a story for you this week! Michael lost his job but found a love for Russian fairy tales, and his first one he brought is a doozie! Normal cats, sexy sexy foxes, stupid bears, and more! And remember perhaps the most important thing to learn, "As in tumbling, so is in life."

A war between two sides deserves two episodes! David finishes telling Michael the story of Marvel's Civil War, and be warned...there is violence! Spider-Man makes a big choice (boy does he!), The God of Thunder returns (or does he?),  and lots of rubble is made (it's dusty).

You might think it's crazy to do a story from such a visual medium as comic books, and you're probably right! David shows his nerd side and brings Michael the comic book event that started his entire collection: Civil War. Find out what's different from the movie (hint: a lot),  what everyone is fighting about, and most importantly...how to score some sweet super power drugs.* *We actually do...

Michael has another twofer for David this week from Hans Christian Andersen, and fights through his own failing voice to tell them. A sad story of sickly children to an action-filled war on God, this week's episode has something for everyone!

Who wants to learn about Old-English Royal bureaucracy? Tom Canty sure didn't, but apparently Michael LOVES it. The Prince and the Pauper continues and we meet a new friend who turns out to be VERY useful for our poor newly but falsely rich poor kid. 

It's time to get silly! Michael brings a Brothers Grimm tale fit for a vaudevillian show! Learn to be overly specific, and don't trust your husband!

The holidays are well and truly upon us, and to...celebrate Michael has brought in another duo of yule-time tales. Listener beware, one of these stories he describes as "the saddest story I've ever brought into the podcast," and he isn't wrong. But also whistles and Santa and barrels of brine! How fun is that?!?

The boys are back alone this week as they almost forget to celebrate their 50th episode! Michael brings another fairy tale, complete with talking heads, jewels, and of course, racial insensitivity! Special shout out to Michael's wife for letting us record on their wedding anniversary!
