We all like to think of heaven. That's understandable; it's where we all want to spend eternity. But, in the midst of our thoughts of heaven, we should not forget about another prepared place - hell. What will hell be like? Will people in hell remember anything of the past? Will hell be for all eternity? Wo will be in hell?

It's saddening to imagine a church like the one at Laodicea. Though they thought they were rich, healthy and well clothed, they were in fact poor, blind and naked.

As Christians, we have been rescued from the evil power of darkness and translated into the kingdom of the Son. We've been redeemed and forgiven!

What do your prayers for the church include?

Of all the blessings we enjoy in life, none is greater than the New Testament church.

As the writer brings this great book of Hebrews to a close, he reminds us that here we have no continuing, or permanent city and reminds us to keep seeking our eternal home in heaven.

Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers. Live a life free of covetousness. These are just a few of the practical exhortations the writer gives us to help live a life that is pleasing to God.

As Christians, we have come unto Mt. Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels.

Though no chastening, or discipline, may ever seem pleasant at the moment, God's chastening of his children serves a valuable purpose in our loves.

There is probably no greater motivation for us to endure our suffering than looking at Jesus and considering those things he endured so we may eventually enjoy eternal life with him in heaven!

Several times throughout the Bible our life is portrayed as a race. Here, the Hebrews writer encourages us to run the race with patience and endurance, constantly fixing our eyes on Jesus along the way.

Hebrews chapter eleven provides us with a list of great characters of faith, men, and women, whose lives motivates us to remain faithful in spite of life's many difficulties.
