Paddock Pundits

This week, we react to the... interesting race that was the $1 million challenge at Thermal for IndyCar. We also acknowledge the dance of March Madness with our own IndyCar driver lineups. Then we dig into the surprises and snoozes of Thermal, ending with our classic Paddock Pundits Pyramid.

INDYCAR IS BACK! This week we discuss the winners and losers of St. Pete, along with our first Pyramid of the season. We get into the new Chevy engine, and if Roger Penske has locked his drivers in the kitchen for the season, a la Carmy from The Bear. We also have several asides into the interesting directorial choices into the lives of drivers in the off-season mid-race.

This week we made lists of our ins and outs for the 2024 IndyCar season. Some highlights include new driver merch ideas, the hybrid systems, Capricorn men, and Midwest living.

We're back for the 2024 season! Teams and drivers have been busy in the off-season, but we've been busier. After a semester hiatus, we're officially making our return to discuss all things IndyCar in 2024. This episode, we discuss driver switches and new faces on the grid, soft launching ideas, and all our plans for the upcoming year.

This week, we sat down with IndyCar driver David Malukas to discuss racing and life. We talk about his connecting with younger fans and his unique online presence, as well address the F*** Boy rumors floating around Twitter (curated by the Bus Bros - and maybe us a little bit). The conversation bounces around to music, movies, and a very long matcha conversation. Our fellow Illinois native gives o...

Kate and Rachel are back after a brief hiatus to discuss everything that went down at Toronto - mainly mourning the loss of Christian Lundgaard's mustache. They then debrief the hilarity that is David Malukas' social media content, present the Paddock Pundit's Pyramid, and give their opinions on Danny Ric's return to the F1 grid.

The PP gals are back together (virtually) to discuss the Detroit GP, Conor Daly’s split from Ed Carpenter Racing, and everything in between.

No quirky episode name for this one, but Rachel breaks down the results of 107th running of the Indianapolis 500! Hear our unsolicited opinions on the fallout of the red flags and the drama that ensues.

After a week off, we get together over Zoom to discuss qualifying for the Indianapolis 500! Rachel learns qualifications in real time as she is currently off the grid and unable to watch or listen to any race, and discuss what driver we think would be the best Vineyard Vines model. We then dive into the 4th episode of 100 Days to Indy, which focuses on our pisces king, Will Power, and his perfect...

This week we dive back into the world of Formula One to discuss the Miami GP and all its happenings. There is a F1 drivers Dance Mom's Pyramid, and some rankings may shock you (others will not). In a Paddock Pundits special, we spend the second half of the episode discussing the second episode of 100 Days to Indy. We guess what instrument Colton Herta would play in high school band before discover...

The IndyCar Triple P stays strong this week with another great ranking from the Barber race. There is 100% favoritism this week but it's deserved. Rachel does a number of questionable accents and American stereotypes throughout the entirety of the episode. After the Barber recap, the gals dig into the first episode of 100 Days to Indy and discuss all things Josef Newgarden (only kind of). We compa...

This week, we compared F1 and IndyCar teams to try and draw similarities and give comparisons for F1 fans looking to get into IndyCar (or vice versa)! We shout out some special listeners and supporters in the beginning - very big thanks to all y'all who are listening and following us on socials (@paddockpundits on all platforms). We try to give a brief history on the teams before we get completely...

"It's student-podcaster, not podcaster-student." We're sorry for the delay in uploading, it's been a crazy exam week and we appreciate all our new support and patience. We've got another IndyCar episode for y'all with a triple p dance mom's drivers pyramid. We talk push to pass strategies that played out in the top 5, and what our victory lap song would be after the iconic NBC soundtracks that pla...

It's our first full IndyCar episode! We (Rachel and Kate) have a full debrief for the chaos that was the Texas PPG 375. Because it was a weekend of chaos in IndyCar, F1, and our lives, Rachel describes the beauty of listening to an IndyCar race on the radio, old school. We also have our first IndyCar Dance Moms Pyramid, and the results are shocking. After the pyramid, we dig into the grid astrolog...

Kate and Rachel dig into the Australian GP and also their weekend experiences trying to watch/hear the race. We highlight Valtteri's Aboriginal helmet design and Oscar Piastri's grandma. The time difference was hard on us and we forget most of the reasoning for the Dance Moms Driver Scores, but stand by the sleep-deprived decisions. Astrology tell-all for the Alliterative Alex Albon's Aries placem...

This week is a special treat from the Pacific Northwest: Rachel flies solo (literally and figuratively). The pp gals got split up this week, and Rachel was on the pod research grind at the airport, leading to this episode. She tackles the differences between Formula One and IndyCar, breaking some ideas down for those more familiar with F1. She talks points, ovals, location, and then gets even more...

This week, Kate and Rachel debrief on the Saudi GP from Sunday. We draw parallels between Max Verstappen's drive and Cocaine Bear and theorize on Sergio Perez entering his Black Swan era in our driver's dance mom pyramid. We look at driver horoscopes from the weekend (with new approval from astrology-believer Mick Schumacher), including how Lewis can rekindle connection with Mercedes and h...

This week, we get into how we met and got interested in F1 and IndyCar! Kate discloses her entire medical history and we talk about Lance Stroll’s toes (and other injuries). Rachel shares her family history hustling at the Indy 500 and Kate talks about reporting on F1 for Rachel while she went off-grid. We then get off topic and discuss some driver pros and cons. Most importantly, we talk about th...

Episode 1: Kate and Rachel barely acknowledge that it's the first episode as we dig into the Bahrain Grand Prix, grid astrology, and take a passing look at IndyCar.
