Most Things Kenobi - A Star Wars Podcast

Darth Vader's suit is as iconic as the villain himself. When someone thinks of Vader, they think of the helmet, the cape, the breathing, the intimidating all-black...but Vader's iconic suit came at a heavy price. It may have been a threatening symbol of the Empire, but it was a living nightmare for the man inside it. Darth Sidious was a certified psychopath, but his cruelty was never more...

This week we're revisiting "Trespass," an old favorite from Clone Wars . We gush about how much we love Obi-Wan and Anakin in winter coats, fan girl over Riyo Chuchi, rage about the Pantoran Chairman, and ogle the fluffy winter jackets. Did we mention the winter coats? We really like the winter coats. (And what's inside them 👀). Support us on Patreon for as little as $3/month: ...

One of the most beloved characters in Star Wars is, without a doubt, Princess Leia Organa. Carrie Fisher, who is equally beloved, brought her to life originally, but with Vivien Lyra Blaire bringing "young Leia" to the screen in the Kenobi series - has our opinion on Leia changed? If so, how? Do we want to see more of Leia in future projects? We delve deeply into all the new things we le...

Trigger Warning : While this episode is meant to be fun and light hearted, we understand it may not be the episode for everyone. Please do what is best for you, take care of yourself, and if you decide to skip this one, we'll see you back here for the next episode (about Leia!) As we all know, dying in Star Wars is inevitable. In fact, dying and being resurrected is about as commonplace as a l...

We're back and we're still raging about Pong Krell in this episode as we finish up rewatching the Umbara arc from Clone Wars. LeeAnn goes on an epic rant about how much she hates Pong Krell, Lauren talks about laws regarding military uniforms and why it's significant that Krell pitted the Clones against each other, and we both constantly wish someone would just call Kenobi already LOL!...

If you've listened to our show for a while, it won't surprise you that we begin and end this episode with "F*ck Pong Krell!" We've decided to rewatch and analyze the Umbara arc from Clone Wars. It's more enraging than we remember! In this podcast episode, we discuss following orders when you know they're wrong, maintaining chain of command, and why fear-based leadership results in a breakdown. We...

The masterminded Darth Sidious, aka Chancellor Palpatine (we flip back and forth between the two this entire episode), had a grand plan that impacted an entire galaxy over decades of time...but there was always one thorn in his side for many of those years: the one and only Obi-Wan Kenobi. We thought it would be interesting to delve into all the ways Kenobi thwarted Palpatine's plans, be it in...

We're back! Thank you to our lovely listeners for being so supportive and understanding while we took a few weeks off. We're coming at you with a lighthearted episode full of goofy moments and lots of laughter. We are discussing our favorite Star Wars names (this is sort of a part 2 to our previous episode about Stupid Star Wars Names ). LeeAnn shocked Lauren with her last choice 😂 Listen...

***SPOILERS*** If you haven't seen the movie yet, this episode is full of spoilers! But for those of you who have seen the movie, this is a very special recap with a very special guest host! We discuss our thoughts and opinions on the movie as a whole, some of the characters we see (both new and old), some of the movie's easter eggs, as well as share personal stories about our love of Mando and hi...

We loved the cinematography of Maul: Shadow Lord so much that it inspired us to go back to our roots and analyze the cinematography of the Star Wars Original Trilogy. We specifically focus on Luke Skywalker in three character-building scenes: the binary sunset from A New Hope , when he meets Yoda in Empire Strikes Back , and when he resists the Emperor in Return of the Jedi . We discuss lighting,...

Three letters sum up our feelings right now: WOW. Just WOW. We have so many thoughts on everything that we, as a fandom, were just treated to within the last four episodes of this series! Of course, if you haven't yet seen the episodes, here's your reminder that there are big spoilers ahead, so beware! There's so much emotion in these episodes, so many characters, so much action...we t...

We continue to be blown away by the incredible animation, acting, and plot from "Maul: Shadow Lord." In this podcast episode, we dive into MSL episodes 5 and 6, discussing how much we enjoy Devon's development, raving about her and Maul's showdown with the Inquisitor, and speculating on who that mysterious hologram might be. Listen to our episode on Maul: Shadow Lord episodes 1-4...

Happy 200 episodes to us! What a cool way to celebrate, too, by spending it discussing the great talents of Sam Witwer, Filoni and team, and all the talented creators behind the brand new series, "Maul: Shadow Lord." We discuss the absolutely stunning animation, the incredible cast, the music, everything. As a reminder: because new episodes drop on Mondays, we'll be releasing our epi...

One of our amazing listeners (and patron!) gifted us one of the books in the Star Wars "Be More" series, and of course it's the book about becoming more like Obi-Wan! We thought it would be fun to pick out our favorite passages and read them, and see what it takes to become more like our favorite Jedi. As the book says: "Glide elegantly through anything life throws at you with p...

We're back this episode to counter our last episode where we defended the Sith Code. This time we are analyzing the Jedi Code, trying to poke holes in the logic and attempting to play devil's advocate. It's all in good fun, though. We really struggled with this assignment because deep down, we are Jedi :) Support us on Patreon for as little as $3/month: ...

Some of our earliest episodes on Most Things Kenobi was to discuss the meaning and thought process behind both the Jedi Code and the Sith Code. This time, we're going back to both codes and we're playing the skeptic! We tackle the tough job of trying to find the "good" in the Sith Code (if possible) while doing our damndest to defend each line. It's tougher than we thought, but we found this exerc...

There's just something about Star Wars and hallways, isn't there? Hallways are often used to represent in-betweenness, where characters pause, confront tension, or undergo change, often evoking themes of isolation, fear, inner exploration, and transformation. Some of the most iconic scenes in Star Wars have taken place in hallways: we all know Luke's hallway scene, Vader's hallway...

It's Star Wars Podcast Day 2026, and we're bringing the Star Wars community a very special episode with a new "What If" scenario. This time we're asking: What if Anakin had told Obi-Wan, instead of Mace Windu, that Palpatine was a Sith? What would have happened? Assuming Obi-Wan was not on Utapau and was instead on Coruscant at the time, what would the outcome have been? Woul...

Why do the Jedi take such young children into the Order? Why was Anakin considered too old? Were the Jedi wrong? Was it essential that children begin training as early as possible? In this episode, we try to answer these questions, diving into a deep philosophical aspect, as well as using real world references to question whether or not the Jedi got it right. Support us on Patreon for as little as...

So begins a new year, and a new season here on Most Things Kenobi! What better way to kick off a new year than to try and come up with potential new years resolutions that some of the Star Wars characters might choose for themselves (or SHOULD choose for themselves?) We picked 9 characters, and one bonus character, and came up with what we THINK they would or should choose for their resolution. So...

That's right! He's back! The man himself—James Arnold Taylor—voice of Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Clone Wars, among countless other epic characters. We are so grateful for the opportunity to interview our friend again. In this episode, we chat about a HUGE variety of subjects ranging from voicing Dark Obi-Wan to how James met his wife to the in-depth prep he goes through before attending each co...

** KLAXON ALERT! There's a special programming note in the first few minutes of this episode where we reveal a very special, very exciting preview of what's to come in the next MTK Episode! ** Thereafter, we have a blast revisiting one of our favorite Clone Wars episodes from season 2, "Bounty Hunters." It's not a full arc, but it doesn't need to be! This episode has ever...

The fandom said yes, but Disney said no. However, Disney also said that Ben Solo is very dead....but we know how that goes in Star Wars. "Is anyone ever really gone?" (IE: Is any character ever really dead?) A majority of the fandom has been very loud and very clear on their desire to see Adam Driver and Steven Soderbergh's movie plans to bring back Ben Solo in a movie that takes pla...

We've all been there; reading a Star Wars book, watching one of the movies, flipping through a comic... you suddenly come upon a silly "Star Wars" name that totally takes you out of the moment LOL!! Whether it's because the name is trying too hard or is so run-of-the-mill that it's too normal, there are some Star Wars names that are so dumb they make us cringe. Now, please un...

(SPOILERS IN THIS EPISODE!) We saw the trailer to "Lego Star Wars: Pieces of the Past" and got SUPER EXCITED when we saw we were getting - at least in *some* form - Sith Obi-Wan/Dark Side Obi-Wan/Evil Obi-Wan. We powered through the episodes of "Pieces of the Past" and waited anxiously for the big debut of Sith Obi-Wan...only to be disappointed by a very brief showing of this d...
