Life Through a Different Lense

Here we get a look into Abram’s life, relationship with God, and his desire to want an heir. Abram shows his humanity, as he and his wife also stumble in trying to make a decision based on what they want. From these chapters we can get a reflection on how good choices aren’t always the best one choice, and good intentions with bad execution don’t go well.

We read Jesus address John one last time, people’s unbelief. Jesus calls out people’s spiritual shallowness in wanting and caring only for miracles. He addresses the sabbath and speaks on people rejecting His message saying He being led and empowered by Satan. Jesus even mentions that His blood family is not the most important

In this episode we get see a bit more into the relationship of Abram and Lot. How God blessed Abram and by extension Lot. We see how far Abram is willing to go for Lot, and we get a foreshadowing and precursor to events, principles, and relationship s that would be addressed many years later.

We read here the continuation of Noah’s descendants through Shem. We see how Shem is an ancestor of Abram(Abraham) and the beginning of God calling Abram.

Jesus has a series of miracles in Galilee, and the instructions and expectations of sending out Hid disciples. Jesus does not hold back in telling them it will be tough, but promises they not be without reward

Here we see God makes His covenant with humanity and the creatures of the earth, the fallout of the flood and the descendants of Noah through his sons

We continue reading from Jesus’ sermon on the mount. Topics discussed about not judging others, prayer. Then certain miracles performed, such as healing of a leper, the centurion and Peter’s mother in law.

Together we read the account of the flood, entering the ark, and coming out of the ark
