This is a deep listening journey into the story of Khu.éex’ as told by the band’s co-founder Preston Singletary and guitarist Captain Raab. The band was formed in 2013 after a chance meeting with Bernie Worrell, keyboardist and co-founding member of Parliament-Funkadelic. Khu.éex’ is an Indigenous band that explores Jazz and Funk/Rock with an improvisational style. The fusion of these styles with spoken word in English, Tlingit, Haida and Y’upic languages is unique.
