Hollywood Hotline: a VCE Media Podcast

Hollywood Hotline is a VCE Media podcast by Matthew Fajerman. The podcast explores current conversations across pop culture, music, and the entertainment industry, offering an inside look at what’s happening in the media through a mix of journalistic-style facts, commentary, and bold opinions. The podcast is produced in a Q&A-style format driven by listener-submitted voicemails, which guide three core segments: Music Industry , Film Industry , and General Pop Culture . Hollywood Hotline was written, recorded, and produced over seven months in 2025 as part of a VCE Media portfolio and received my school’s Creativity & Endeavour Award for Outstanding Achievement in Media Studies in 2025. In creating this podcast, my biggest inspirations were the Shameless podcast by Shameless Media and Jake Shane’s Therapuss , which influenced the show’s tone and conversational style.
