Hachsharas Ha'avreichim

Based on the 9th chapter of the Piasetzner Rebbe's Hachsharas Ha'avreichim, we are reminded of the initial purpose of the Ba'al Shem Tov's besora to the world.

The distance from heaven to earth is 500 years. You don't reach heaven in one step.

The Rebbe believed in our incredible power of visualization, through which our own souls become revealed to us. It can even start with Pizza.

It was Hashem's decision that we are holy. Once I operate from there, my day, my life, my experience of being in this world is so much more meaningful and pleasurable.

An essential piece of Torah, based on the fundamentals of the Ba'al Shem Tov.

As we began the 9th chapter of הכשרת האברכים, we see how the Rebbe guides us to learn the basic fundamentals of becoming a chassid, and it's not necessarily what we think.

How does one know if their joy, bliss, and emotions are coming from a healthy place?

Based on the Zohar Hakadosh, we learn what happens to a person who engages with the shechina while still alive, in this world.

That person, that tired and old person who finds themselves on their deathbed, looking back at all the what if's in life, and doesn't even have the strength to work on themselves.  BH, that is not us, but what do we do with such imagery?

The Rebbe continues to offer a visualization of the days nearing one departure from this world, and all it can offer.

As we begin the 8th chapter of הכשרת האברכים, the Rebbe gives us pearls of wisdom as to how to combat the evil inclination.

The details we fill in describing leaving Egypt bring a much broader picture to our daily memory and experience of leaving Mitzrayim.

A conversation which took place in a household of a Jewish family, while still in Egypt, hearing about the redemption soon to come.

Why weren't Am Yisrael able to believe Moshe Rabbeinu when he began to share with them redemption news?

Delving into the depths of the broken heart yid, who experienced the full picture of darkness while being a slave in Egypt.

There is a lot that the Torah says, and there is a lot that the Torah doesn't say. There is a lot that the Medrash says, and there is a lot that the Medrash doesn't say. When I move into what else may have occurred in the story that I'm learning, something happens to my world of thought, something quite essential.

In this 14-minute shiur, we completed the 6th chapter of the Rebbe's Hachsharas Ha'avreichim. Ashreinu

I'm in the Holy Temple. The Levi'im are singing, the sacrifices are being offered. Oneness in the air. Now start davening, as if it is happening right in front of you, in real time.

The Rebbe teaches us a beautiful piece from the Zohar Hakadosh, explaining how the Torah revealers her inner beauty.

The role that learning Aggadah plays in the mind of a Ben Torah.

In this class, we shared some sensitive and personal stories. Recalling events such as the fire on the moshav, our own personal car fire, and other triggering memories and visualizations that were not invited. What happens when we actually call out and invite certain moments to take up more space in our consciousness?

"Our goal, on the other hand, is for God to help us to see the soul, which is higher than the intellect." (Piasetzner Rebbe, Hachsharas Ha'avreichim)  What does this mean?

Our imagination may not always be the truth of all truths, but even a brief moment of this awareness leads us to a life towards Mesirus Nefesh.

The tangible reality, a reality which manifests from serious work on the strengthening of our thoughts with holiness, frames us in a setting we dream of and long for.

Without a profound and creative way of strengthening our thoughts, it becomes more and more difficult to act upon any awakening which may take place in our heart.
