This week, we pull the lens back a little and talk about documentaries in general and The House of Hammer, in particular. Every once in a while, we like to do a "What the fuck" episode. Themes are ripped from today's headlines, as they say, as Marc and Kristina comment on current events that cause them to shake their heads, quirk and eyebrow, or shocks them to their core. Plus, there are jokes.

We've talked about the hypothesis about living in a simulation. We've discussed some of the ways we might detect the simulation. This week, we just shrug and accept that we might live in a simulation. Now what? Marc and Kristina discuss the consequences of living in a simulation. This is useful stuff. Don't leave the Matrix without it.

Welcome back to one of our favorite topics: the possibility of us living in a simulation. This week, we want to find a way to put this theory to the test. What would reveal base reality (assuming we aren't living in it now)? What kinds of tests can we perform? Why is Marc still pixelated?

This was a spontaneous--dare we say extemporaneous-- episode. We decided to just take on some random topics. It turned out hilarious and great. We discuss a tiktok fandom, White Gladys and other oceanic attacks on humans, and, of course, aliens from deep space. We promise you'll love this one.

The discussion of the Strange Case of Natalia Grace winds up. This week we discuss the documentary in whole with special guests Kelly and Joann. Joann had been on this program before and is our cohost on the Vampire Insider podcast. Kelly helped us dissect the hot mess that was Inventing Anna. This story is so wild that we needed both of their help to make sense of it.

The bizarre story of Natalia Grace wraps up with episodes 5 and 6. In these episodes, the limited focus of the documentary opens up somewhat beyond just Michael's narrative. This doesn't stop the squalor, weirdness, or confusion.

The Barnett Family continues their spiral into weirdness. Marc and Kristina dissect their parenting decisions as they have Natalia "re-aged" and move her out to her own apartment. And the mysteries surrounding her background do not become less muddied. Join us for the wild, wild ride.

Last week, we discussed the series finale of Ted Lasso. Since then, we've seen the predictable kudos, laments, and discussions we would expect. That includes criticisms of people's genuine feelings about the show. Edge lords, in particular, seem to delight in yucking other's yums. We discuss this phenomena and explore the motivations behind it.
