I'm looking forward to things in July and August and here's where I tell you about them. King of the Hill! Futurama! The Dink! Batman AND Spider-Man? In this economy?!?

Catching up on recent movies and TV - Disclosure Day! Toy Story 5! Sheep Detectives! Spider-Noir! Stuff about Widow's Bay that I maybe said in a previous episode but there's no way to know! It's a smorgasbord of good stuff that I'm just now getting around to.

I promise I had Good Reasons to miss a few weeks, but we're not getting into that right now. This week, we're talking about The Mandalorian and Grogu and my experience at the live Comedy Bang! Bang! show. One of those was a lot better than the other, and if you could just get some Babu Friks into CBB, we'd be all set!

This week, we're talking about how the new Mortal Kombat movie kind of rips and Widow's Bay is fantastic. But man, we have to discuss Vin Diesel and the collapse of one of the world's biggest movie franchises. Sometimes that dude says stuff just to hear how it sounds.

This week, EJ's going through all the TV shows of 2026 that he has watched to completion. And they've mostly been pretty good! DTF! Daredevil! Pitt! Reggie Dinkins! More!

This week, I'm taking a look at some things that I'm excited about coming up in May and June. Toy Story 5! Spider-Noir! The Ground Beefing Tour! 007! The Deli Boys! Supergirl! More!

We begin our sporadic but comprehensive look at the Coen Bros. filmography! This week, EJ talks about their first movie, Blood Simple plus a bonus look at Crimewave, their collaboration with Sam Raimi. We're talking about what major director had the best debut and the sheer lunacy of Crimewave, a movie that is not good but also I love with all my heart.

This week, we're sort of looking at the Super Bowl movie trailers. Also, some recent good TV and I'm surprised at how good Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die and Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie are. It's largely a positivity episode except for how that Mandalorian teaser was pretty weak.

This week, some things I've been enjoying recently. Ponies, Primal, The Pitt, and at least one other show that doesn't start with 'P'. Also, the Jason Statham Film Festival returns with Shelter and it's always a pleasure to talk about Sam Raimi.

This week, it's the 25 things we're looking forward to in 2026! The Odyssey! Daredevil! Coyote vs Acme! Two Jason Statham movies! The world may be a turd pit, but we're grabbing joy where we can!

Kicking off the new year by talking about the Top 25 TV Shows of last year! It's one of those episodes where I'm enthusiastic and we're all having fun with good TV.

Happy birthday Tom Waits! This year, inspired by the new Knives Out, we're talking about Tom's songs in movies and TV. From The Wire to Beavis and Butt-Head, I'm covering the things I like! Also, with the help of AI, we determine whether or not Tom Waits is Hellboy.

The delightful Rachel Hadaway (host of Rachel's Chart Chat on the People are the Enemy podcast) returns to talk about Season 2 of Peacemaker. We're talking bird blindness, super pets, John Cena being awesome and much more. We had so much fun talking about our favorite guy and hope you'll join us!   NOTE: I don't know why I pronounced "Vigilante" so weird multiple times. I think I got in my head ab...

It's the most sacred holiday on our calendar! After doing two commentary tracks and two drinking game commentary tracks, this year EJ drank weed soda while watching Crank. You will notice that the runtime of this episode is significantly shorter than the movie...   I'm not proud of this one.

This week, EJ watches his favorite new show of the year, Pluribus! Also, Roofman is surprisingly delightful and we wrap up the Predator franchise (for now) with Badlands, a movie that rules. It's all enthusiasm this week, baby!

This week's episode was hastily thrown together while I edit next week's episode. So we talk a little about Slow Horses, Chair Company, Down Cemetery Road and quite a lot about Predator: Killer of Killers. And then some existential, well, not dread exactly. More like some kind of malaise.

In a little bit of a catch-up episode, we make some Cranksgiving plans, and discuss the alphabetical order of James Bond movies. Plus, the Predator rewatch gets us to the awesome Prey and we compare Drive to the Transporter series. You might say I see things.... a little bit differently.

This week, EJ talks about the things he's looking forward to before the end of the year. TV! Movies! Games! Comics! Podcasts! The main five forms of entertainment!   In the Franchise Report, The Predator is a slog but we also watched Edge of Tomorrow and fell in love all over again.
