FBC Message Of The Week

An encouragement to continue praying for one another, and Will Parker gives some helpful verses we can pray from the Bible.

‘Do as I Say AND as I do’… Jesus modelled LOVE. Based on John 13:34-35,  Beth encourages us to ask God to pour out his reservoir of love into our lives.

Continuing our Parables series, Beth looks at the heart motivations of both the Pharisee & Tax Collector. ‘It’s who you are, not what you say and do, that counts. Your true being brims over into true words and deeds.’

Looking at Ephesians 5:15-33 Mark Blackwell digs into how submission to one another is the highest form of love and how leadership is not about status or power but about reflecting the self-giving love of Jesus.

In the first of our new teaching series ‘7 One Anothers’, Martin Lewis looks at encouraging one another. Can we be jump leads of encouragement to others with the help of the Holy Spirit?

Our final parable of this series shows the generosity of God’s grace. Everyone is invited to the table, however some excuse themselves, refuse the invite and attend to other things, albeit good things! Jesus encourages us to be fully inclusive, offering hope and love to everyone and not be judgemental church bouncers.

Continuing our series on Jesus’s parables, Katen Barnard looks at the significance of the prodigal son.

Jesus told this parable at the close of the Sermon On The Mount. Those listening had a choice. Would they be hearers AND doers or would they just listen and walk away and not put Jesus’ words into action. What about us? Are we wise or foolish?

Who is my Neighbour? In this parable, Jesus gives a masterclass in prioritising love and kindness above cultural boundaries and selfish gain. He also ties love in action with the importance of knowing what to do to receive eternal life.

Exploring the Parables of Jesus, Beth looks at the Mustard Seed. Seeds only reach their potential when they are ‘in the soil’. Similarly, we have to be planted and rooted in the soil of the one and only, God Almighty.

In the first of our August series looking at Jesus’ parables, Mark Blackwell retells the parable of the Sower and throws out a challenge or two.

Continuing our ‘Legends’ series, Dane Baker looks at the role and impact of the Psalmist.

What’s in a name? Listen and find out from Mark Blackwell about the obedience of Elijah as part of our ‘Legends’ series.

Will Parker gives interesting insight on Priscilla & Aquilla as part of our 'Legends' series.

In the final part of our ‘I Am’ series, Mark Mabin uncovers the radical nature of these words when Jesus said ‘I am the gate’. They caused offence to so many then and continue to be challenging and provoking to us today.

An encouraging and clear exploration of Jesus, our good shepherd who provides for me, makes me secure, restores my soul,  leads me, protects me, serves me and pursues me.

Continuing our Legends series, Martin Lewis takes a look at the life of Paul

So much to choose from regarding the life of David, but here Beth Gillman sets her focus on the defeat of Goliath and how God is bigger than the giants!

Will Parker shares a very impacting message about Jesus’ statement in John 11 -  ‘I Am The Resurrection & the Life’. There were many challenges given as to whether we can declare ‘Right Here, Right Now’ to the work of God and how the truth of this statement can be demonstrated today.

Looking at John’s Gospel, what did Jesus mean when he said he was the true vine? Steph Peters brings helpful clarity and wisdom to this statement.

As part of the ‘I AM’ series, Sue Rinaldi ‘slices’ up John chapter 6 to explore what Jesus meant when he said ‘I am the bread of life’.

Continuing our ‘I Am’ series, Alex Strowger looks at the ultimate, unchanging trueness of Jesus.

Martin Lewis begins our mini-teaching series looking at the seven I' Am’s of Jesus from John’s gospel. Today…I Am the Light Of The World!

On this Resurrection Sunday, Mark Blackwell talks about how love has the final word. An empty tomb; a risen Christ!

Guest Helen Azer looks at the Spirit inspired craftsmanship of Bezalel & Oholiab in Exodus and how that inspires us for an upgrade of anointing, not limiting God’s active presence wherever we are.
