A Holy Mess - Beautifully Ordinary 01.11.2026

Pastor Ryan Leeds concludes his series in 1 Corinthians Living a kingdom life is not about chasing extraordinary spiritual experiences. It is built through small, faithful, ordinary decisions made day after day. Paul closes his letter to the Corinthians with practical instructions on giving, relationships, and standing firm in faith. He challenges them to give generously, consistently, and appropr...

A Holy Mess - When Dust Blooms 18.10.2026

Pastor Ryan preaches on 1 Corinthians chapter 15 The resurrection of Jesus is not just a future hope. It is the foundation for how we live today. In 1 Corinthians 15, Paul makes clear that without the resurrection, faith collapses entirely. Because Christ has been raised, our sacrifices, our service, and our daily choices to die to self all carry eternal weight. Jesus described Himself as a seed t...

A Holy Mess - The Art of Lowering Yourself: The Beauty of Putting Others First 11.10.2026

Pastor Jim Howard returns for a message in 1 Corinthians First Corinthians 14 is often treated as a debate about spiritual gifts, but its deeper message is about love. Paul's concern was not whether the Corinthians were using the gift of tongues, but how they were using it. When worship becomes unintelligible, it excludes people rather than welcoming them. Paul's four analogies, drawn fr...

A Holy Mess - The Most Excellent Way 04.10.2026

Pastor Ryan preaches in 1 Corinthians chapter 13 Please note: We experienced a building power outage during today's service, so unfortunately we lost a few moments of audio mid sermon. First Corinthians 13 is one of the most familiar passages in the Bible, but familiarity can cause us to miss its real challenge. Paul wrote these words not as a poem for weddings, but as a correction to a self-...

A Holy Mess - The Same Spirit 27.09.2026

Pastor Ryan Leeds preaches a message from 1 Corinthians chapter 12 Every follower of Jesus has been given a spiritual gift, not just pastors or leaders, but every single member of the body of Christ. Spiritual gifts are not the same as natural talents. They are abilities empowered by God, given for the good of the community rather than for personal recognition. Paul makes clear in First Corinthian...

A Holy Mess - Equality, Justice and Caring for the Least 20.09.2026

Guest speaker Dr. Judy Diehl picks up the sermon series, A Holy Mess, with a message from 1 Corinthians chapter 11 First Corinthians 11 addresses two issues that seem unrelated at first: head coverings and the Lord's Supper. Both, however, point to the same root problem in the Corinthian church, which was pride and a lack of genuine care for others. Paul was not establishing timeless rules ab...

A Holy Mess - Doomed to Repeat It? 13.09.2026

Pastor Ryan continues his series titled A Holy Mess Faith gets complicated the moment it starts touching our habits, relationships, and sense of personal freedom. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 10, Paul uses Israel's story as a warning: God's people were delivered, sustained, and provided for, yet they kept turning back to what they left behind. The same temptation exists today, not just tow...

A Holy Mess - Worth the Cost 06.09.2026

Continuing his series A Holy Mess, Pastor Ryan preaches in 1 Corinthians 9 Paul's letter to the Corinthians raises a question that cuts to the heart of Christian living: what are you willing to give up for the sake of someone else's experience of God? In 1 Corinthians 9, Paul makes a compelling case that he had genuine, legitimate rights as an apostle, including financial support, and th...

A Holy Mess - Freedom for the Other 30.08.2026

Pastor Ryan Leeds continues teaching through 1 Corinthians Knowledge can tell you what you are allowed to do. But love asks a harder question: what does freedom actually require of you? Paul's words in 1 Corinthians 8 are just as relevant today as they were for the early church. Being theologically right is not the same as being spiritually finished. Are you holding onto your rights so tightl...

A Holy Mess - The Trouble With Elsewhere Part 2 23.08.2026

Pastor Ryan Leeds continues his series  A Holy Mess , preaching out of 1 Corinthians chapter 7 God's call on your life does not require a change in circumstances before it becomes real. In 1 Corinthians 7, Paul addresses questions about marriage, singleness, and social status with a consistent and countercultural message: bloom where you are planted. Whether you are married to an unbeliever,...

A Holy Mess - The Trouble With Elsewhere 16.08.2026

Pastor Ryan Leeds preaches on 1 Corinthians 7:1-5  Marriage, sex, and faithfulness are not topics the Bible treats lightly, and 1 Corinthians 7 speaks directly into the confusion many people carry about all three. The Apostle Paul addresses a church torn between sexual indulgence and extreme self-denial, calling both extremes wrong and pointing instead toward chastity. Chastity is not the absence...

A Holy Mess - Sacred Space 09.08.2026

Pastor Ryan Leeds continues his series, A Holy Mess, covering the book of 1 Corinthians Real freedom is not the right to pursue whatever you want. It is the freedom to live for something greater than yourself. Paul wrote to the Corinthians, a church surrounded by a culture of excess and self-gratification, to remind them that being brought into God's kingdom changes everything, including how...

A Holy Mess - The Cost of Being Right 02.08.2026

Pastor Ryan shares a message from 1 Corinthians 5 and 6 Christians are often quick to judge the world around them while neglecting the real issues within their own communities. In 1 Corinthians 5:9 through 6:11, Paul corrects a misunderstanding about separation from the world and redirects the church's attention inward. His concern was never about avoiding unbelievers. It was about tolerating...

A Holy Mess - A Mercy That Hurts 26.07.2026

Pastor Ryan continues his series, A Holy Mess, preaching from 1 Corinthians 5 First Corinthians 5 brings theology into the messiness of real life, addressing a situation in the Corinthian church where a man was openly living in sexual sin and the community had done nothing about it. Paul was not only troubled by the sin itself but by the church's proud silence in the face of it. He calls the...

A Holy Mess - What Will Remain 19.07.2026

Guest speaker Pastor Jesse Henkle shares a message from 1 Corinthians 3 and 4 The church at Corinth struggled not because they were sinners, but because they had stopped growing. Two years into their faith, they were still spiritual infants, more focused on status and competition than on maturing in Christ. Paul uses three vivid metaphors, growing up, farming, and construction, to challenge them t...

A Holy Mess - Recapturing the Wonder 12.07.2026

Pastor Ryan Leeds continues his series in 1 Corinthians The church in Corinth was dividing over status, influence, and which leader to follow, and Paul saw this as a sign that they had fundamentally misunderstood the Gospel. The cross redefines everything we think we know about wisdom, power, and greatness. God did not choose the impressive and the powerful. He chose the weak and the foolish to sh...

A Holy Mess - Rich But Restless 05.07.2026

Pastor Ryan Leeds begins a new series, focusing on 1 Corinthians, titled A Holy Mess The church at Corinth was gifted, passionate, and deeply divided, much like many communities of faith today. Paul opens his letter not with rebuke but with gratitude, reminding the Corinthians of who they are in Christ before addressing a single problem. The divisions in Corinth were rooted in a Roman cultural sys...

The Slow Work of Wisdom - Everyday Valor 21.06.2026

Guest Speaker Leah Wilson brings our Proverbs series to a close Proverbs 31 is not a checklist for the perfect wife. It is a heroic poem that shows what wisdom looks like when it is lived out in the everyday. The woman described is diligent in small things, generous toward the poor, and rooted in the fear of the Lord. Her strength is not about perfection but about courage and faithfulness applied...

The Slow Work of Wisdom - Through the Fog 14.06.2026

Pastor Ryan Leeds continues his series in Proverbs Life often doesn't follow the patterns we expect, even when we make wise decisions. The wisdom literature of Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Job offers guidance for navigating these complexities. Proverbs teaches general principles about how life typically works, but it's not a formula for guaranteed outcomes. Ecclesiastes reminds us that li...

The Slow Work of Wisdom - Too Wise to Be Certain 07.06.2026

Pastor Ryan Leeds preaches from Proverbs on the topic of discernment. True discernment goes beyond gathering information or seeking simple answers—it's about learning to see what God is doing in each unique moment. Henri Nouwen described it as spiritual understanding that allows us to perceive the deeper meaning behind appearances. Unlike our culture's obsession with data and certainty,...

The Slow Work of Wisdom - Ring of Fire 31.05.2026

Pastor Ryan continues his series in Proverbs. The Bible presents desire as a gift from God, not something to be ashamed of. From Genesis to Proverbs, Scripture celebrates sexual intimacy within marriage as a source of joy and wonder. However, after the fall, desire became distorted, leading to consumption rather than connection. Pornography and uncaged appetite train us to see people as objects ra...
