DES vs. BMS: The Stent Selection and safety debate

Coronary artery disease is a significant global health burden, representing a substantial portion of cardiovascular related morbidity and mortality worldwide .The introduction of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) with stent placement has fundamentally revolutionised the management of CAD, offering effective relief from coronary stenosis and markedly improving patient outcomes. However, the choice between the two primary technologies—drug-eluting stents and bare-metal stents remains a subject of ongoing debate within the clinical community. That's what we will be discussing.
