Daily Word of Hope

Your breakthrough is waiting near your breaking point. When it looks like you cannot go on and it becomes so dark, when you are ready to snap and let God have it with both barrels, you are so close to being delivered. Listen to the message today for a word of hope! This is taken from my book: Forty Days of Hope.

We like to bring as large an army as possible, but God prefers to be outnumbered. He likes it that way. In His army, quality is much better than quantity. That was the case of small David defeating giant Goliath. It was the same with Moses, Elijah, Jeremiah, Jonah, Daniel, Paul, and many others. God only needed one who was faithful to bring victory. Though you may face impossible odds, and the wor...

While attending classes at a school, the teacher is right there with you and willing to answer any questions you may have. They spend their time trying to help you understand the subject. But when the test comes later, you are expected to complete it using the knowledge you have been taught. Because God loves you and wants to help you grow, there will be times of testing. Listen to the message tod...

Stepping out in faith can be intimidating, maybe even terrifying, but it can have great rewards for those who overcome. We are not the first to have to choose between trusting God or fleeing in fear. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!

I have often prayed something specific and saw God go even beyond the details in my prayer. Your prayers don't scare Him, for He is not just creative but the Creator. Yet, we need to be sure that we are asking for the right thing. Today's wisdom is on the importance of specific prayer. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!

Change is something that makes us uncomfortable, and we often resist it. But, for the new to come to pass, the old has to go away. If you want a better car or a better job, the old one usually has to go first. We like to know what is going on and for the swap to happen all at once. Yet, God often brings change differently. Most of us will feel at least a little stressed when looking at the unknown...

On the last night Jesus spent with His disciples, He got on His knees and washed their feet. The servant was missing, the basin was sitting there, but nobody moved. So the Lord of glory did the job Himself. That moment was not just a kind gesture; it was a lesson He had been teaching them all along. The way up in the kingdom of God is down. Pride blocks everything good from God, while humility ope...

Faith is the complete trust or confidence in someone or something. It is the currency of heaven. Though your circumstances may look hopeless, you have access to power that cannot be matched. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!

When kings of old passed through their towns, it was often with a splendid display and ceremony. They may ride in a golden chariot or a carriage pulled by twelve white horses. When Jesus came to Earth, it was completely different. He began by sleeping comfortably in a feeding trough in a stable and, later, on the floor of a fishing boat in a storm. Though you may have been born under humble circum...

Jesus once told a parable about a young man who demanded his inheritance early. Graciously the father gave his part to him. The son immediately left for a faraway country and blew all the money on riotous living, partying, and prostitutes. The message today will be a blessing to anyone who has struggled, especially to anyone who has hit rock bottom.

When the Israelites came out of Egypt, the Lord gave them His Spirit to teach them. He provided them with food and water and sustained them in every way. For forty years, they lacked nothing. Their clothes did not wear out, and no diseases were found among them. That was amazing, but will God still do things like that today? The God we serve can provide all we need, both great and small. So many attacks come against us daily that it is easy to become discouraged. That is the enemy's purpose for them. But true happiness isn't found in things, jobs, success, or even people. The secret to being happy is more simple than we think. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!

Many of us have become wrecked works of art. We start with so much potential and promise, but all of that can become broken. If you have ever felt broken and worthless, Listen to the message today for a word of hope!

If it feels like God has set you on a shelf and forgotten about you, you are in good company - Joseph, Moses, Esther, and David all spent years in obscurity before God brought them out. The hidden season is not wasted time; it is where He does His best work. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!

Life is fragile. As people, we like to think that we have it all under control. But I have been on top of the world one day and crushed under it the next. If you have ever felt crushed under a burden, Listen to the message today for a word of hope!

God can fix everything, and even if all you have to depend on is Him, He is more than enough. If you feel you are not wealthy, powerful, intelligent, or talented enough to make a difference, Listen to the message today for a word of hope!

Jesus shared more with the disciples who were closest to Him. His inner three were Peter, James, and John, who were present at His transfiguration and other events. God doesn't share His wisdom with everyone and does not throw His pearls before pigs. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!

Mercy is compassion or forgiveness shown toward someone within one's power to punish or harm. It is not punishing them, even though they deserve it, even when they have earned it, and you now have the power to make them pay for it. Though it may be difficult to forgive those who have harmed you and your loved ones, there is a great reward for doing so. Listen to the message today for a word of hop...

I grew up a bit different than most. My Mom married and divorced nine times, and my Dad three. Everyone I knew, and every home I stayed at, was temporary. One day they were your family, and the next day, your enemy. I don't even remember all their names, and many of them never bothered to learn mine. If you have been wounded by the pain in your life, Listen to the message today for a word of hope!...

God has brought you this far, and though the road in front of you may now look terrifying, do not turn back. God is still with you, and His plan has not changed. Though your circumstances may be daunting, there is always a way through. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!

Manasseh was the most wicked king Judah ever produced. Fifty-five years of murder, idol worship, child sacrifice, and sorcery. He even had the prophet Isaiah sawn in half. But when the Assyrians put him in chains and hauled him off to Babylon, he came to his senses. He prayed, and God answered. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!

There is a time to pray in faith and stand on it, but Jesus Himself went back and prayed the same words again when He was troubled and sorrowful. He prayed until He had the peace in His spirit to face the trial that was soon coming. If you want more peace in your life, Listen to the message today for a word of hope!

Sometimes, there are chains in our life that keep us from our destiny, but today is the first day of the rest of your life. God is interested in your future, not your unchangeable past. Listen to the message today for a word of hope!
