Join our Discord! Rude Fox Alton returns and we're gonna talk about Sonic R (at least for a little bit) and we get distracted along the way talking about Sweaty feet, Tails creepypastas, Piss Sonic, John McAfee and Stephen King. Plus a little detour into Metropolis Street Racer for some nice Sonic R-esque tunes. 00:00:00 Richard Jacques; TJ Davis - Can You Feel the Sunshine? (Sonic R) 00:05:00...

Back again with a Mini Episode. I'm going to try to do these a little more regularly just for games that have short but great soundtracks so we can talk about those and Journey to Silius is a great sountrack to start with! I may still do a big Sunsoft episode in future but for now this will have to do! Thanks to b0in for joining us for this and I hope to have her on for a future episode! Also, let...

This week we're joined by Benny to talk about the original Spyro Trilogy, and also to melt Reese's brain with cursed knowledge of who composer Stuart Copeland's father is. Join us for some fun tunes and to hear Reese's descent into madness! Join our Discord! https://discord.gg/xTaqKcpmuh We've got another wonderful recent soundtrack this week in The Outer Wilds. Our friend Zed joins us to talk about the game and its music and give us the guided tour as I'm too shit to play the game well but what I did play I found fascinating. Spoilers abound so if you haven't played the game I would definitely recommend giving it a go before listeni...

Join our discord! discord.gg/QMgzjKjmTT Tryna hit the SEO for Persona 3 Reload with this episode (but also I've wanted an excuse to talk about Persona 3's music forever anyway) and we're joined by Teeps again. We had a great chat about the Persona and SMT series and the assorted spinoffs for this one. It's one of my favourite soundtracks ever and probably my favourite in the series overall (please...

Join our discord! discord.gg/QMgzjKjmTT Dave from the C64 episode returns to chat about Streets of Rage. This is obviously one we've wanted to do since the start of the podcast. Join us for some chat about one of the all time great soundtracks with some diversions about (British) Gladiators, GamesMaster, a dead F2P Sega game and more! 00:00:00 Yuzo Koshiro - The Street Of Rage 00:02:00 Talk 01 00:...

Join our Discord: discord.gg/QMgzjKjmTT This week we are joined by Deep Hell Skeleton to talk about MadWorld and Anarchy Reigns (Max Anarchy in Japan.) Two of Platinum's lesser known games. The first being a very violent Wii exclusive gave it some noteriety but the follow up sort of got lost in the shuffle. Both are enjoyable games and both have fantastic soundtracks mostly based on rap vocals but...

We are joined again by Roar to have a nice festive chat about... Um Jammer Lammy. Okay it's not very festive but watch this space and in the meantime just have a good time with us. 00:00:00 MilkCan - Keep Your Head Up!! (Make It Sweet!) 00:03:09 Talk 01 00:13:38 Shigeyoshi Kawagoe; Masaya Matsuura - I Am a Master and You! (Um Jammer Lammy Original Sound Track) 00:16:04 Masaya Matsuura - Fire Fire!...

This week we're joined by a guest from another VGM podcast! The Messenger (Alex) of A VGM Journey is here to celebrate 30 years of DOOM by talking the original games with us. I did not plan to release this on the actual 30th birthday, so Happy Birthday to DOOM, one of the true GOATs. 00:00:00 Robert Prince - At Doom's Gate (Doom) 00:01:44 Talk 01 00:11:44 Robert Prince - Kitchen Ace (And Taking Na...

We're joined by Ash this week to get our synthwave on and talk about Furi. Featuring a bunch of original tracks by some great Synthwave Stalwarts and a really dope art style this game was of immediate interest to me when it came out and when Ash mentioned they wanted to talk about it I couldn't wait to get this episode done. 00:00:00 Carpenter Brut - Time to wake up 00:01:08 Talk 01 00:07:12 Carpe...

We're back with another theme episode! It's Stage 1 music from Shmups, STGs, Bullet hell, whatever you want to call it. I got the idea for the playlist when doing the Hitoshi Sakimoto episode because I have a ton of these games that I wanted to talk about and while some of them will definitely get full episodes in future, and there's plenty of games not on this list I can talk about, it seemed ilk...

This week we finally talk about the Paradise Killer OST. Far and away one of the best soundtracks of the last few years for one of my favourite games of the last few years. Reese recently played it so as soon as she told me she was playing I said we had to do an episode as soon as possible so here it is! Apologies for the audio errors in the first two segments, the discord call was giving us some...

This week is our 1 year anniversary episode! Last year I put together of assorted Sonic tracks as a test for the podcast before we recorded our first real episode. The recording itself didn't turn out great but I thought it would be fun to dig out the playlist and have a redux episode. Roar who previously joined us for Sonic CD Temporal Duality brought some of her Sonic expertise and we have a fun...

This week, my friend Nate brings us a baker's dozen of Sentinels and their attendant soundtrack full of synth bangers. The game itself is very neat but the soundtrack is one of the best of the last few years and I've been hyped to do this one for a while. 00:00:00 Hitoshi Sakimoto; Bratphonics - Brat Overflow 00:01:53 Talk 1 00:12:53 Yoshimi Kudo - (VALINE)- 00:19:23 Yoshimi Kudo - -(ISOLEUCINE)-...

This week is a party and we're joined by Andy for a little Katamari Damacy soiree. It's another one of those inevitable episodes but it's such a joy of a soundtrack I just can't help but get excited and with the recent Reroll of We Love Katamari what better time to jump into it. 00:00:00 Yu Miyake; Masayuki Tanaka - Katamari on the Rocks (Main Theme) 00:05:54 Talk 01 00:02:20 Yuri Misumi - The Won...

Taking to the skies yet again with another air based episode, following up from Aerobiz and Airforce Delta, our friend Alex joins us to talk about Ace Combat Zero. I really wanted to do an episode on Breath of Fire 3 and who better to have along than Nadia Oxford of Axe of the Blood God and Retronauts who was kind enough to join us and talk some jazzy pop tunes — amongst other things — for one of my favorite RPG Soundtracks of the PS1 era. 00:00:00 Akari Kaida - Casually 00:02:36 Talk 1 00:10:14 Akari Kaida; Yoshino Aoki - These Little Things 00:12:26 Akari...

Another OC Remix episode? I didn't plan it but it sorta just worked out this way. This week we are joined by OC Remix Community Manager Larry Oji to talk about Street Fighter 2 and Turbo HD Remix tunes. An iconic soundtrack to be sure, and Larry provides a lot of fun insight into the creation of the community album that became the soundtrack for the HD re-release of Street Fighter 2. 00:00:00 Yoko...

This week, Shannon from Misplaced Podcasts joins us to talk about Soul Nomad. A ridiculously deep Nippon Ichi Software game with a belter of a soundtrack by Tenpei Sato. Enjoy! 00:00:00 Tenpei Sato - RED BOOTS 00:03:23 Talk 01 00:12:38 Tenpei Sato - Dragon's Eye 00:15:08 Tenpei Sato - December Street 00:17:45 Tenpei Sato - The Last Supper 00:21:14 Tenpei Sato - BAD BOYS 00:22:43 Talk 02 00:29:33 T...

This week we're joined by guest Roar who wanted to talk about the OC Remix Community Album Sonic CD: Temporal Duality. This was a great way to talk about one of the best classic Sonic OSTs but with a fun twist! 00:00:00 Jivemaster; Rabcandy - The Boom (Undeleted) [Sonic Boom] 00:02:32 Talk 1 00:11:11 Amphibious - Palm Beach SEGA Tan [Palmtree Panic US] 00:14:57 Funk Fiction - Crystal Duration [Met...

Reese is back again this week and we're talking about Alberto Jose González music. Definitely the most unsung of the bunch for what we've done this year but the music is fantastic, and there was a lot more fantastic music to be found in his back catalogue. Join us to hate on Hugo and Turok and listen to some great tunes. 00:00:00 Alberto Jose González - Champion! [UEFA 2000] 00:02:21 Block 00:11:5...

Reese couldn't join me this week so I brought a guest along to talk about some Hitoshi Sakimoto tracks for the 3rd episode of Masters of VGM this year. I really wanted to highlight some of Sakimoto's lesser known stuff so there's no Ogre Battle or Final Fantasy here but I'm sure you'll agree it's a fine selection of more obscure tracks from one of the all time greats. Thanks to Harlot for joining...

This week we're going to talk about Manami Matsumae. Since the start of the podcast we've talked about doing this episode but it got pushed back a few times and we thought that Masters of VGM would be ideal as an excuse! Check out other podcasts participating in Masters of VGM this year at https://mastersofvgm.com/ 00:00:00 Manami Matsumae - Boss [Tenchi o Kurau] 00:01:45 Talk 1 00:07:57 Manami Ma...
