Bucky’s Basement Podcast

On this week's installment of Fast Pitch we scatted our way to the six word title "No Order Made For Tribute Gummies". Which directions will the guys go in with this title and will they be defeated by our internet based nemesis, Chat SMITH.     buckysbasement.com

We finally made it to one of Bucky's top 5 favorite movies of all time.   Will Juicebox and Oldboy share that opinion, or will they disappoint Bucky with their ratings?  Tune in this week as we discuss the 90's action classic, Con Air.

Can you believe it's been 1 whole year with Bucky's Basement Podcast?  We've spent the past year diving into the Nic Cage catalog (that got us to 1996), writing movie pitches in 15 minutes, drinking on the local Transportainment  offerings, and breaking up with things in our lives...all for you, our loyal listenership.  This episode is a look back at everything we've covered so far and a promise t...

This week the guys get a little side tracked after they find out that Oldboy finally broke down and watched Armageddon, on DVD.  Does it make his top 10 list? Top 20? Top 100?   After they get over this shock it's time to draw the 4 words that end up being the title "Stress Ruins The Uppers".  What will the guys come up with this week?  Will Chat Smith get the best of them? Tune in loyal listeners...

On this week's Casting Cage, the dudes review the 1996 action thriller, The Rock. Don't miss Bucky's spot on impersonation of Sean Connery, their take on Michael Bay's film aesthetic , and who is the Greatest thirst trap of all time, according to Bucky's “Nannie”.  Only on Bucky's Basement.

On this weeks episode of Fast Pitch the guys draw the 3 word title "A Different Cut".  Will they write a barbershop movie or take this in a different direction entirely?  Tune in to find out.

Nic Cage as a jacked gangster, Sam Jackson as a tough cop with a watery eye, Stanley Tucci as...Stanley Tucci, David Caruso as a guy who should have taken more acting classes, Ving Rhames as Marsellus Wallace, and Helen Hunt star in this remake of a movie from 1947. Will this movie live up to the 5.9 rating on IMDB or will the guys have a different opinion. Tune in the find out.

It's time for another episode of Fast Pitch.  Where we draw random words out of a sack to create a movie title, then take 15 minutes to write a "Fast Pitch" for a movie with that title.  We give our dream cast, give it a tagline, and tell you our Movie Marriage (which two movies "got together" to make this movie). Tune in to see what the guys come up with this week in Bucky's Basement.

THIS EPISODE HAS MAJOR SPOILERS!!   On this special episode of Casting Cage, the guys review the brand new horror flick, Longlegs! Does the movie deserve all the hype? Does Nic Cage deliver the performance of a lifetime or does it get away from him? Is Blair Underwood more prolific that Nic Cage? Find out one the weeks episode of Bucky's Basement.

Well we finally made it.  Not to the end, no far from it. But we made it to the pinnacle of Cage's career... or did we?  Does this Oscar winning performance really  live up to the hype or was it a down year for the Oscars?  Is Elisabeth Shue a good actor, or is she just really hot?  What happened to Mike Figgis after this movie?  We'll answer some of these questions on this weeks episode of Castin...

It's Christmas in July on this week's episode of Casting Cage so we all put on our ugly sweaters, boiled up some egg nog (is that what you do?) and set down to torture ourselves almost as much as being with your in-laws for the holidays. (Just kidding, we all love our extended family...right?)  Anyways, this Christmas romantic comedy is sitting at a whopping 10 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, and you'...

We're diving into another Nic Cage "Rom Com" this week with It Could Happen To You.  This 1994 nepo baby vehicle explores the relationships between a gold digger, a cop with a heart of gold, and a failed actress (also with a heart of gold).  Will this movie charm us, or will it end up relegated to the "never watch again" category.  Tune in to find out.

This week we're going back into the cage to review another Nic Cage film.  This week we watched the "Comedy Thriller" Guarding Tess.  Is Doug a good Secret Service agent?  Is that one guy wrong in every movie he's in?  Are Tess and Doug secret lovers?  Tune in this week for these answers and more.

On this week's episode of Casting Cage we've finally hit rock bottom...or have we?  The 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes would suggest that, but maybe this movie has a trick or two up its sleeve?  Tune in to find out.

On this week's edition of Fast Pitch the guys draw the two word title "Triangle Hero".  What will they come up with?  Who will they cast?  Will they be defeated by Chat GPT?  Tune in to find out.

This week on Casting Cage we all got together in the basement to watch Red Rock West. This straight to HBO 90's noir film was nearly impossible to find, which is a shame for a movie starring Cage, Dennis Hopper, Laura Flynn Boyle and J.T. Walsh. Will the guys agree with the 98% score on Rotten Tomatoes or will they have a different opinion? Tune in to find out.

It's time for another exercise in creative writing.  This week the guys draw the title "Who Sleep Exuberant".  What kind of title is that for a movie?  A terrible one, that's what kind.  What will the guys come up with this week.  What will the internet come up with?  Tune in to find out.

On this week's episode of "Are You Not Transportained?" the boys take a ride on the Honky Tonk Party Express.  Is it Nashville's best kept secret? Are the guys creepsters for being the only men on the experience?  Were they just going in circles?  Join us as we discuss Nashville's premiere money making party bus on Bucky's Basement.

17 percent.... 17 percent man.  That's the Rotten Tomatoes score we're currently looking at for Amos & Andrew.  But how could that be?  This is a movie with Nic Cage and Sam Jackson.  Quite possibly 2 of the top names you may think of when someone asks to name iconic 90's actors.  But here we are... 17 percent.  Maybe it was Dabney Coleman's fault for playing such a convincing racist cop. Or m...

It's time for another episode of Fast Pitch here on Bucky's Basement.  This week the guys are writing for the 2 word title "This Matters".  What will they come up with this week and will they be defeated by Chat GPT (Chat Smith)?  Tune in to find out, and don't forget to "tell ya momma-n-em".

On this weeks Transportainment episode the dudes ride the Transportainment OG. The Nashville Pedal Tavern. What will their cover story be and will Bucky's real life job expose them? What are they Pitfall fans now? Who's Margie and why's she partying so hard? Why are they slurring their words? Did they get to visit the Joe C tribute at Kid Rock's Big Donkey Honkey Tonk? All questions will be answer...

On today's very special episode of Breakup Letters, Bucky puts the kibosh with the ever popular, all-powerful Social Media. He's been connected since college Facebook testing grounds up to present day Instagram reels. He's looking to get time back from the greatest time suck of all time. Join us as we encourage him on his journey to splittsville from Mark Zuckerberg.

This week on Casting Cage we're finally coming out of Nic Cage purgatory with the 90's hit Honeymoon In Vegas. Juicebox discusses his hatred of James Caan (is he a good actor or is he just playing the same character in every role?), Bucky struggles to name 5 James Caan movies, and we speculate on who is actually the "Bad Guy" in this movie.

On this weeks episode of Fast Pitch we are trying to write a movie with the absurd six word title "Iceberg Indians, Future Hollywood, Tyrone Square". What will the guys come up with this week? How will Bucky sneak Smoking Ben Affleck into this one? Will A.I. come up with a better idea? Tune in to find out.

On this weeks episode the guys venture out to Opryland to ride the Redneck Comedy Tour Bus. But! This week they brought at guest - their "half-sister" Dana! Join Bucky's Basement this week as they become "turests" in their own city.  Will they become "Redneck Certified"? Can they pronounce Demonbreun? Do they learn how to abuse children?  Is this comedy? Find the answers to all this and more on th...
