Max had a nightmare of an experience on their flight to Los Angeles. Stressful enough, but having to learn choreography through video after not learning choreography at all for 15 years on the plane? YIKES.

Max got a pretty good taste of what a busy time period is like for me. Work during the day, dance at night.  Can they keep up?

FIFTEEN YEARS of not being an active dancer, and Max got thrown into a performance. How did their first rehearsal go?

We have returned! Max visited for 3 weeks recently and it was during a super busy three weeks. The housing market in Los Angeles, as we all know, is a nightmare. Ahead of Max flying back in to go apartment-hunting, they have been looking online and compiled an ongoing list. It's much too early, but we wanted to get an idea of what we're in for.

Most of us love a good rom-com, or anything portraying some sort of onscreen romance. Some of those we aspire to have. But what those onscreen romances don't prepare us for is the post-honeymoon phase part of the relationship, where it gets REAL. Max and I talk about how our relationship is post-honeymoon phase, and how doing the "right thing" for your partner sometimes isn't pretty or convenient.

Therapy CAN be expensive. Therapy CAN cost more than just money. But to Max, finding the right reasons to invest in their mental health makes it all worth it.

It wasn't exactly fate or destiny that brought me and Max back together all those years ago. How we got to where we are now in our relationship and our own lives, wasn't a fluke either. We both consciously made life-changing decisions. Making those choices and the resulting changes may have been jarring at first, but here we are, and we couldn't be any happier; polyamory and all.

Things and sometimes people make us feel angry. It's something not a lot of people enjoy feeling. Also, not everyone wants to be around an angry person... but it happens. When it does happen sometimes it takes ME a while to get out. Max shares  how they get out of that state of mind quicker so it doesn't fester.

The movie Turning Red really brought up some not-so-pleasant memories for Max and some parental concerns for me. Listening to your children is important for your relationship with them, and for their development as a person.

Max and I discuss what actors have to go through to get the physique "worthy" of a superhero role.

Growing up being the only "female" child in a Filipino household, Max understands the pressure Mei (Turning Red) and the Madrigal Children (Encanto) feel to be the "perfect daughter" (Alexa, play "Reflection" from Mulan) While being the "reliable one" may feel kind of nice, the inevitable pressure coming from all sides will definitely test you.

Settling a conflict with other people involves TALKING ABOUT IT. Talking about it is the sucky part, but that's what needs to happen. If you've been able to resolve a conflict without discussing it, please tell us what sorcery you used.
