We spent several months in Chiapas, Mexico. While there, I was able to speak with a Zapatista historian named Anna about the history of the Zapatistas, how they were born, and where they are now. The Zapatistas are touted as Communist, but are they really? This movement is both tragic and inspirational. A 56-year journey .

After our excursions to the Guatemala border and Lagos Montebello, we headed to Mexico's largest waterfalls, El Chiflon. It's definitely worth a 2.5-hour drive from San Cristobal should you ever make there. We highly recommend this as an overnight stay. The on-site hotel is convenient and affordable just steps away from the river.

Upon arriving in Acapulco, Jason and I jump into action with the assistance of the Marsh Children's Home in Bonfil. After 7 years of giving to Marsh the kids were more than happy to give back to their community. It was very heart warming to give them this opportunity.
