30 years since the collective gasp on the courthouse steps. This was the day Michael and Alex were killed by their own mother. After nine days of searching for Susan Smith’s children we were all so invested and that’s why WSPA carried the funeral. And it’s why so many of you watched. The Spartanburg county sheriffs office released the final call for deputy Aldridge who was ambushed and killed in the line of duty last week.

Austin Aldridge was just 25. He was checking out a domestic violence situation when the Spartanburg County Sheriff says he was ambushed.
