As Indigenous people, we aren’t strangers to intergenerational trauma. We felt the pull to talk about it because our experiences may help someone out there. The signs, symptoms and feelings are all normal and valid. We hope the information in here is helpful for someone, because sometimes you may not know or recognize a symptom/sign.

We have both been on a healing journey for a very long time and unfortunately there is a dark side to it. What have we lost or gained from healing? What things have we done to help our healing? As usual there is many personal examples and some advice!

We talk about stereotypes that we have encountered as Indigenous people in various situations.

Cultural appropriation is a huge struggle outside of Indigenous cultures, but it does happen within our own communities as well! We take a look into our own actions and thoughts specifically about Indigenous people appropriating from other Indigenous cultures. We will also be talking about performative culture as well. This also isn’t widely talked about and we hope this starts some conversations...

The dreaded imposter syndrome! We share our experiences and feelings about imposter syndrome. This is a huge topic and not talked about often amongst Indigenous communities.

How do we feel about different words used and/or imposed on Indigenous people? This also include a follow up segment recorded a couples weeks after our initial conversation. Part of our aim is to show that we do learn and grow!
