Actually, all of John’s epistles are warnings. Ever since the church was born, false teachers, heretics, and others have sought to unravel and undermine the work of The Church. John is serving up love for us today. We are incapable of the truest love without the Author of Love. God created love. It’s His very essence.

What the Church needs now is love, God’s Love. To paraphrase a hit from the last century, we need to admonished today like John spoke in the 1st century. The Church is still working on loving each other. Jesus said the world would know Him if we love each other, not if we love the world. This is a bit of a dive into the pool of love. 1 John 4:7-21. Let’s do this

Test the spirits. 1 John 4 gives us a clear model for who to test, how, and why. The lines are drawn. You’re either light or darkness.

John gets real specific between good and bad. Which are you? Liar or Righteous? Your fruit will tell everyone whose daddy got you.

Not only do we finish chapter 2 with some great insight, but we share life changing news!
