All my own AI assisted tracks, are free to download. I do not monetise any of these tracks; I do however claim copyright in all but a few of the lyrics and the music in many of the lyricsI have been writing songs "on and off" since1959 until the present. As a songwriter, I write purely for the pleasure it gives me. I have always been pleased with my songs which have been mainly from genres such as folk/blues, rock and roll and general pop (in the style of the sixties). My musical skills are quite limited and the early demos on Soundcloud, prior to two years ago, are of me singing and accompany...

Exploring instrumental music on SUNO, I was taken with gypsy jazz. Two reasons, I love Spain (especially the Canary Islands) and my favourite guitarist has just released a second album of gypsy jazz. This is one of four tracks I have created from a number of instrumental songs generated by The AI engine. I decided to give each track on the EP a name to make it personal; the images are from Pixabay...

Good Times Turn Up Too 01.10.2024 3:29
This song is only a couple of years old and most of my own songs I have submitted to SUNO have beenover 50 years old so far; HOWEVER although I have posted a ukulele demo, I wanted to hear how it sounded with a real bluesy treatment - and I liked it.
Everything I See Reminds Me Of You 28.09.2024 3:05
Another AI assisted song from my very first week's experiments with Suno AI, which I have been reviewing . With this song again you can hear the familiar "strong" and frequently used rhyming. In these early experiments I did often use AI generated lyrics (based on my short descriptions and a title) in order to quickly find my feet with the range of genres available and how to use the meta-tags pro...
Found My Love In The Dark 28.09.2024 3:09
Another Ai assisted song from my very first week's experiments with Suno AI, which I was reviewing . With this song again you can hear the familiar "strong" and frequently used rhyming. In these early experiments I did often use AI generated lyrics (based on myshort descriptions and a title) in order to quickly find my feet with the range of genres available and how to use the meta-tags properly....
Time Slips Through 26.09.2024 3:04
During my first forays into the maelstom which was caused for me by SUNO AI. I was cracking songs out at a rapid rate. and found that describing a set of lyrics was the fastest way to wander the fields of genres and tags, etc which were available to the intrepid explorer. This is one of those early songs, which explains wht the rhyming couplets are so "artificial" or recognisable as AI generated....
LOST 24.09.2024 3:24
I wanted to write a Rock song, to try out some features on audacity which I hope might increase the "quality" of thr track. EG I hate the muffled, almost unheard lyrics on many rock numbers where it seems to all about guitars and forget there is a song there. First, I do not sing this genre! So the voice is what Suno provided for me. I acquired the vocal stem and pasted this onto a separate track...
MY WORLD CAVED IN ALL AROUND ME 23.09.2024 3:29
OK, Suno doesn't always work -we know that. I had come across a prompt sopposed to create a style for ELVIS. As he was always a hero of mine, I thought, "yes I will !). However it just did not work with this song, may be because if I had taken notice it was really about Elvis in the fifties.... Anyway, after spending some time editing my lyrics and trying to get closer to his last years with the p...
Crazy Ways (jazz) 21.09.2024 2:46
Still cranking out versions of my songs from the murky past, helped by SUNO AI. I write the lyrics and the melodies and prompt the AI by uploading an acapella sample of the song for the AI to "follow" and emulate my own voice. Post-editing and mastering on Audacity. "A step up" for someone who has only sung and posted these old songs with a simple guitar/uke backing in the past,
Make Believe World (edit) 20.09.2024 4:09
Still cranking out versions of my songs from the murky past, helped by SUNO AI. I write the lyrics and the melodies and prompt the AI by uploading an acapella sample of the song for the AI to "follow" and emulate my own voice. It does sometimes have a mind of its own, and in this the vocal is not really my natural style - but I like it - and it is in line with the genre selected. Post-editing and...
How Do You Play Your Ukulele 16.09.2024 3:03
Another old-ish song, created with AI. Showing how I use a voice sample (Acapella) to prompt the AI with my own voice and the original melody used for these lyrics. Copyright John Dyhouse
Tell me what to say 14.09.2024 2:33
Settling in to using Suno to demo my songs. I am now uploading samples of me singing (acapella) the first verse and a chorus up to the 60 sec max allowed. This prompts the AI to adopt and use my voice which means all my songs have a standard voice if I prefer ( and thank you, auto corrects the pitch) and also prompts the AI with the melody and the way I scan the lyrics (all provided). I can struct...
Consistent Caroline (rewrite - 1) 14.09.2024 3:17
A difficult piece to work with. The AI really couldn't cope with the "free form verse structure" of the song. It was a song I wrote as one of a pair with "The Cat" also on Soundcloud, using a method of randomising headlines from a newspaper to make some sort of sense. I had come across in a TV interview with Davivd Bowie. After quite a few iterations changing the genre/editing the lyrics, I comple...
Our Love's A Wild Fire (edit) 11.09.2024 3:52
Really enjoying playing with AI. This was actually an early experimental song. Many of the first couple of dozen songs were generated from an idea, a title and a synopsis - to save time and hold back my own songs, although there are well over two hundred written between 1959 and to-date. This was one of those generated songs. Thanks to Suno for a great few weeks fun - so far. The song is copyright...
Summer Dreams (Rock version-2) 08.09.2024 3:30
Another possibly strange choice for an AI assisted song. When I wrote this, the lyric had a peculiar structure which almost created a song in two parts. So It was a particularly difficult song for the AI to scan properly. In fact I treated it as two separate parts and then stitched them together in a DAW. relatively pleased with the result. I also did a version which was slower and produced a harm...
THE CAT (2) 06.09.2024 4:00
A complete experiment with SUNO AI. I wrote this lyric some 40 years ago as an experiment in constructing a lyric from random headlines in a newspaper ( following a TV interview of David Bowie in which he talked about writing songs). I was very aware of the awkward nature of the structure of the lyrics and wanted to see how the AI coped. I was pleasantly surprised. I had in fact started to upload...
The Wicked Magician ( 2nd Update) 04.09.2024 4:23
"i WANNA TELL YOU A STORY", I drove my eldest son and friends back from a sunday school meeting when he was abot 8 yrs old (1979). On the was home, they were excitedly talking about a Childrens TV cartoon from the Previous evening. Amazing what imagination kids of that age have. Anyway, I made a note of the conversation, when I was back home. Of course, I added a few interesting "facts" and wrote...
Battle Is Near 03.09.2024 2:52
This section is called Battle Is Near, the realisation that it is to be fought is clear, sounds that could be early clashes are head in the distance. Another of these danged AI offerings, this one comprises several generated clips stitched together In audacity. It tells a story see of Freedom. There is no political association with the title, simply that one of the iterations (at a time when the i...

When You Say You Love Me Too 03.09.2024 3:48
A different approach to this ballad. I played Suno a sample of my voice (only) singing some made up nonsense. The song was written by me in the very early sixties, one of my earliest songs. It existed only on paper (the lyric) and in my head ( I did sing it occasionally, nowadays backed by a ukulele. But no demo as far as I remember). I spent some time on this one, as I had a good idea what I want...
And Now At Last (Orion Vox) 31.08.2024 3:40
This is an AI assisted track. The Lyrics are original and were written because of a small accident I was trying to get an instrumental track from Suno AI, however I was stuck on an issue and couldn't work out how to correct it. I took a short break and knocked out a quick lyric, I rather like it and used it for the song instead. It actually prevented the problem, and moreover turned out to be one...
