A Date With Dateline

We're only one month away from July 22nd and Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell are trying to make themselves as hated as possible before the second coming! With this third installation of Dateline's telling of Mr. and Mrs. Zombie Hunter, they may have reached peak hatred. And like a giant crazy onion, Keith Morrision is still pealing off layers of this case to reveal the even crazier layers underneath....

From the ID Network Show IMPOSTORS, this episode "The Five Star Phantom" has everything K&K could want! Las Vegas suites, heists, fancy schmancy sounding Miami hotels, heists, British detective duos, heists, a wheel-well boy found on a tarmac...

Do you refuse to watch an episode of Dateline called BEFORE THE STORM where Dennis Murphy says, "There's a storm a-brewin'!" Then this is the Dateline for you! Because he doesn't say that. But he DOES have a little extra cowboy gumshoe detective flair as he walks us through the tragic disappearance and murder of a beautiful mother and the two main suspects who knew her… um… "intimately". But not e...

It doesn't seem right to be covering a Diabolical episode without Dateline's Dennis is Enough Murphy...but here we are with "Devil Wears False Eyelashes" from ID Network's DIABOLICAL series. This very special Double Date with Dateline episode features boat trips gone bad, "making the hook-up" in tiki bars, bunny hallucinations and an explosive conclusion that will surprise even amateur professiona...

Beep Beep! Buckle up because it's time for a new series within the ID Network's pantheon of shows- this time its BETRAYED. The case involves a church elder, a respected church mom, a few scandalous mistresses, a couple of Long Island neighbors and one heaping serving of ambrosia salad. Kimberly and Katie are here to discuss the unique first person re-imaginactiment, sweater vests, police interroga...

In this Dateline classic Keith Morrison is on the scene in beautiful Montana where a handsome vet was murdered in his bunkhouse and here's the kicker...there's TWO equally viable suspects! Friday or Saturday night activities have never been so important as finding the real murderer depends on it! Kimberly and Katie, for the first time EVER, may actually have made a breakthrough in the case as wate...

Swing yer partner round and round! It's all twirling and skipping and fruit punch sipping at the Guys & Dolls Dance Hall. But what happens when a beautiful newly single woman swings onto the arm of the wrong persons husband? Well, skirt's are going to get a little more than ruffled. Kimberly and Katie are diving into the extremely non-seedy underbelly of the Arkansas square dancing community with...

In this very special EXPERIMENTAL A Date With Dateline, Kimberly and Katie rewind, rewind, rewind to one of the earliest cases of their careers, Finding Sarah Goode. Listen as they relive their very first hardwood floor installer slash nail technician slash guido uncle, their first nosy neighbor with actual binoculars like Jessica Fletcher, and, most importantly, their inaugural bag of weiners tee...

After a quick Dateline break, Kimberly and Katie are back to working through the almighty ID Network "Episodes You Shouldn't Watch Alone" list that Katie is using as a guide to the vast number of murders and mysteries available on ID. This episode from "True Nightmares" is a triple threat style with 3 stories in one episode! A possibly German accountant, a highly educated grave robber and a family...

Since the Warren Jeffs episode had teenage brides that were kind of a downer, Kimberly and Katie decided to liven things up with some good old fashioned murdery mystery with the Dateline Classic, INDISCRETION. When a young billiards-playing woman is found murdered with a #1 written on the wall above her body, is it a (literal) sign of more murders to come? Or is it just one more anomaly in a serie...

What Happened To The Children? Spoiler Alert: We still don't know. But we're getting closer! The next Dateline episode on this story will hopefully have an exclamation point instead of a question mark. But in this case the punctuation is appropriate as this bizarre continuation on the Lori Vallow Daybell saga leaves us with more questions than answers. Questions such as is the ginger intern journa...

Double Date comes early this week because something wonderful has happened. Kimberly and Katie have been blessed by the Dateline gods and sit down... well do a video call... with the one and only Sir Manky with the Hanky- Josh Mankiewicz! It may be a pandemic but we are calling this a PandeMANK because he is doing his part to fill the social isolation void by bringing the world a thrilling new pod...

This week is a departure from the ID Network and back to the namesake where it all began. It's a vintage Dateline staring the Queen Andrea Canning who is reporting on a case that sounds way too fancy for the likes of Kimberly and Katie. "Mystery at Ascot Estates" has not one but two murders involving a lovely songstress, a couple of bookies, an ancient Irish defense council and... one toilet seat...

A cop, a rabbi's son, and Keith Morrison walk into a bar...and then things get insane. When a college student is found murdered, police are forced to investigate one of their own, and Kimberly and Katie are forced to analyze the dramatic Fosse inspired lighting that is unlike anything ever seen before on Dateline and not on a Broadway stage. The reviews on the lighting were mixed, but the reviews...

It's time to get suspicious again... but this time is a much nicer suspicion because we are going to Canada, eh! But while the people may be nicer in the sleepy waterfront area of Cosy Cove the crime is pretty horrific. Kimberly and Katie are still working through the great ID Network "Episodes You Shouldn't Watch Alone" list and "Cosy Cove Killings", Season 1 Episode 3 from Suspicion series is an...

Guess who's back? Manky's back! Tell a friend (from 6 feet away or remotely). Sir Mankiewicz is about break the fourth wall of THE HOUSE, where the murder of a husband outside his beloved house reveals a family living together in turmoil. Set in a neighborhood where every single person is filming every second of their lives like they're auditioning for The Real World, THE HOUSE generously provides...

Title three from the "Episodes You Shouldn't Watch Alone" ID Network list is just as bonkers as the previous two. It's another doozy from the YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE series with the very non-frightening title "Murder Mouse". No. That's not right.... "Murder HOUSE". To this date there has yet to be a murderous mouse, that we know of. We are going back in time to a Clue-esque mansion filled with creepy...

The most recent Friday Dateline is a repeat, so it's time to go back to school with a young Keith Morrison and a vest-less Lester to learn about the dangers of "Bad Chemistry". This vintage Dateline includes many of the old standbys- a dramatic divorce, a cranky Clovis-ian, vitriolic voicemails, and a barrel full of… not monkeys, just deep deep sadness. One young man, who is definitely NOT Joey Fa...

Kimberly and Katie continue on the list of "Episodes You Shouldn't Watch Alone" from ID Network and this week it's "Death Next Door" from the the SUSPICION series. It's an apropos tale of what appears to be a zombie apocalypse in an otherwise unassuming neighborhood. Our heroine Anita is watching those around her change slowly into monsters as she gets sicker and sicker and the wigs and makeup dep...

Last week Dennis Murphy took us to a Lonely Road. This week he's taking us on a Road Trip to solve the murder of a holistic doctor living in totally normal Florida, where crazy things hardley EVER happen. It's time to virtually crank some tunes and eat road snacks like cut up bananas with the skin still on and Chinese food dumplings that haven't gotten great reviews on Yelp. Kimberely and Katie ar...

Birthday boy Dennis Murphy is taking us back to a time many moons ago, to a crazy world known as 1982, where there's been a death (and we're not talking about disco). Was it murder? An accident? A bad case of the awful knoffles? Buckle up and make sure that door is closed, because we're going on a rough ride through multiple trials, multiple exhumations, and multiple fascinating hairstyles. It is...

It's possible many are in need of some serious distraction, and what's more distracting than Keith Morrison, a good old fashioned murder mystery and two best friends who dissect every last detail of the case? That means it's time for a Saturday night repeat episode- In Broad Daylight! Keith is our leaning guide through this tale of a suburban mom who was killed inside her home while officers were...
