A Date With Dateline

Dateline has certainly #blessed us with the TALLAHASSEE TRAP! They've given us a War of the Roses petty divorce, hit men in a silver pine mica Prius, and a dentist/self-professed "Maestro" with a grotto, all told by the original Florida Man (minus the bath salts and alligator tooth necklace)— Dennis Murphy! Join Kimberly and Katie for another epic discussion on the varying rates of hit men, evil m...

We've got trouble! Right here at the 7-11 Ranch! And we're not talking about suspiciously ageless hot dogs or a mega brain freeze from gulping down Slurpies. We're talking MURDER! Thank goodness Sir Manky with the Hanky (the incomparable Josh Mankiewicz) is on the scene! K & K are here to discuss, as Dateline details out the years long mystery of a missing martial arts death cuddle expert whose fa...

K & K are diving into yet another new to them series from the ID NETWORK. This time its all about the "Evil in Law" and how one family caused the tragic demise of a beautiful Canadian former pageant mom. The episode is called Momma's Boy not to be confused with MotherBoy, which is a whole other kind of terror in it's own right. Please see the television series Arrested Development if you would lik...

Sir Joshua Mankiewicz has returned to us, hanky intact, and he's uncovering more secrets. But this time they are from the Grave! And secrets (whispered) means that Kimberly and Katie have some burning questions (no pun intended). Mostly surrounding Scott Purk, a swinging, bath-taking, leftover loving ninja burglar/ arsonist who loves to talk to cops in warm cars. K & K are also asking, once again,...

When a personal injury attorney with lots of gold jewelry and a Tom Selleck stache goes missing, the lean King Keith Morrison is going to lean on everyone until he gets to the truth. Who was Larry McNabney and why did his behavior inspire specialty tee shirts to be made at the mall? Who was his wife, and what are her thoughts on matching underwear and valet parking? Who was his office assistant an...

Who's ready to get pumped?! Does anyone still say that? 'Cause Kimberly and Katie, with the help of their old pal the ID Network are ready to give you a work out! In this episode from the series "Murder Among Friends" we learn how not to get addicted to body building and why maybe sitting on the couch eating tortilla chips is just fine because you might avoid getting murdered by a roided out coupl...

In a nation-wide podcast conspiracy spanning humans and and creatures large and small, a very important piece of information has been removed from the A Date With Dateline coverage of THE MYSTERY AT EMPIRE LAKE. Who is behind it all? Why was this vital information erased? What is meaning behind this verdict so controversial it had to be HIDDEN from listeners? You guessed it. K & K made a boo boo....

It's 115 degrees in Los Angeles, so Kimberly and Katie are going to need their Lean King Keith Morrison's help in determining a man's guilt since they're a little hot under the collar. But Keith has his devil's advocate hat on, and seems to think that the defendant in not one, not two, not three, but FOUR murder trials is INNOCENT? Are K & K about to disagree with their beloved Keith? This unprece...

Its a winning combo, as Kimberly and Katie dive into a new (to them) ID Network show Mansions & Murders. Two very exciting topics on which both K&K are going to pretend like they are experts. This episode is called "The Iron Maid" and has absolutely nothing to do with the band or the torture device. It does, however, revolve around the very mysterious murder of an Park Avenue heiress who has a que...

When an almost Playboy model goes missing after early morning clubbing in Miami on New Year's Eve, who's the only man for the job? Mr. Dennis is Enough Murphy, of course! And he is BRINGING the super hip club lingo! Kimberly doesn't want to spoil his best surprise quote of the episode, but it rhymes with "Zoom Lakamaka." This episode gives us a sometimes suspicious and prone to sudden crying outbu...

K & K are back together again and have found a new friend to admire from the ID Network show THE KILLER CLOSER. Lindy Gligorijevic is an LA Homicide Detective who is using her smarts to not only prove her top notch killer instincts to the men in her department, but to hone in on a well schooled murderer (who relies on her feminine wiles and not her brain). The proof is in the pudding (well, the ic...

It's TWISTED IN TEXAS, a tale where Olive Garden's bottomless salad and breadsticks are only matched by bottomless… bowls of evil? Sure, let's go with that. Get ready to meet Leon Jacob, the douchiest douche that ever douched, and the only woman on earth who can take him down with a single stare— Queen Andrea Canning. She's going face to face with this arrogant surgeon who, sorry to say, thinks th...

This week's episode is VERY special. We're talking about ID Channel's Secret Lives of Stepford Wives, and in honor of our heroine, the cheating and murdering socialite Nancy Kissel, Kimberly and Katie have decided to follow her example! They're murdering! No, they're not. But they're CHEATING! Introducing a new offshoot of A Double Date With Dateline called… A Cheat Date With Dateline (which is ac...

This week, Dateline brought us the disturbing (even for 2020) tale of a "charismatic" cult leader (him?) who left a tale of suspicious deaths and destruction in his wake. No, not Chad Daybell. A different one. ANGELS AND DEMONS brings us exactly that— A thousand year old fingerprintless DEMON who has an affinity for corvettes (again, him?)… and the only one strong enough to meet him face to face i...

Kimberly and Katie are switching it up for this week's Double Date and checking out a Netflix series called DIRTY MONEY thanks to a recommendation from patronus (patroni, patroperson) Jenna! Roll out the blue barrel for one of the sweetest swindles in the history of heists- it's "The Maple Syrup Heist"! In this episode K & K get transported to one of the nicest places on earth, Canada, and learn a...

Andrea Canning is taking a trip to the strange land of Florida to report on the tragic murder of a beautiful civil engineer. Its a case of rotating suspects, illicit drug use, something called "shrimping" and two detectives who could have their own TV show (staring Vin Diesel and Luther). Kimberly and Katie try to keep up with multiple B.O.W as the stories and alibis get more "Florida" by the minu...

Keith and the ADWD gals are heading to California's farmland to find the label maker- obsessed sociopath who killed a father and made a hero of a little boy named Fabian (Dateline's new MVP FOREVER). Which member of Peter, Paul, and Mary did the horrible deed, and why did they use so much extra postage when mailing anonymous letters to the police? How much Moore craziness can this episode handle?...

L.A. is a land of floundering would-be artists, fading stars, failed screenplays... and apparently also a place where it's rich old lady occupants come to cash in on the broken dreams scattered across Hollywood Blvd. In the second case from ID NETWORKS' Elder Skelter Episode 2 "Sex, Lies and Security Tape" entertainment-hopeful Kenny McDavid's future was cut short when he encountered two scheming...

Tune in to see if she's the kind of Linda that responds to Amazon questions with completely helpful non sequiturs ( eg. Does this toothbrush come in blue? She's colorblind but she bought it in or...

It's time for another Double Date foray into the extensive list of content from the ID Network. This time Kimberly and Katie are venturing into the treacherous waters of the elderly... the elderly who kill, that is. This episode covers the first case from Elder Skelter Episode 2 "Death, Lies and Videotape" where Bob (not Kimberly's Dad Bob) and Bob's wife (probably not her real name) celebrate New...

"They're watching us, they know where we are, how we shop, how we play, what we do, who we love. E-lectronic eyes, the sticky pixel fingerprints follow us almost everywhere, and the weird fractured personal diary they write, remains forever. It's meaningless, most of it, meaningless that is, until it's not." Unless you couldn't tell, this is a Keith Morrison Dateline episode. and he's bringing us...

Did somebody ask for a double dose of Keith Morrison? Welcome to Part Deux of Deadly Connection, where Kimberly and Katie discuss Nash and Travis's complicated bromance, pretend they're in the movie Se7en, and Katie's jaded heart finally sheds a tear for one of the strongest people we've ever seen on Dateline who is just simply a better person than Kimberly and Katie are in every way. All that plu...

It's Keith Morrison's birthday, America's birthday and possibly another whom shall remain nameless's birthday but this Dateline episode is certainly no party... There is a young woman missing on the streets of Denver, another woman jumping out of a second story window to escape a fire and another possible victim in the works as a very bad Travis is on the loose in Colorado. Keith has some incredib...

If so, w...

Topics include bible broadcasting, windmill high-fives, what exactly is a time share property (and if I have to a...
